We are currently seeking a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional to join our growing Canadian sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys agriculture, customer relationships, and business development while working independently in the field.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position offers an attractive commission structure with strong earning potential tied directly to your success in growing the territory and building customer relationships.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Canadian Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving business growth targets through strategic territory management, customer development, and regular on-site visits with growers and greenhouse operations.

The successful candidate will build long-term, profitable customer relationships while representing the Stokes Seeds brand with professionalism and expertise. This role also plays an important part in product evaluation and field trials, helping identify innovative varieties and solutions for the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the sales and service of Stokes Seeds products within the assigned territory
Drive territory growth by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to strengthen the customer base, support existing growers, and attract new customers
Establish, maintain, and collect data from product trials
Conduct field evaluations of pre-commercial products and identify suitable market opportunities within the territory
Work with breeder-producer suppliers to identify new products and emerging marketplace opportunities
Represent Stokes Seeds at industry events including tradeshows, field days, and sales meetings
Support the brokering of vegetative cuttings to greenhouse customers within the territory
Maintain expense budgets aligned with regional objectives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred
3–5 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing
Experience within the vegetable seed industry considered a strong asset
Agricultural background and understanding of commercial produce production preferred
Basic understanding of the growing, packing, and marketing of commercial produce
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and maintain long-term partnerships
Professional, self-motivated, and confident with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to identify customer needs, develop solutions, and close opportunities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Comfortable utilizing technology to enhance sales effectiveness and customer service
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the territory

Relevant du Directeur des ventes canadiennes, le ou la Représentant(e) des ventes territoriales sera responsable d’atteindre les objectifs de croissance des affaires grâce à une gestion stratégique du territoire, au développement de la clientèle et à des visites régulières chez les producteurs et les exploitations de serres.

Le candidat retenue développera des relations d’affaires durables et profitables tout en représentant la marque Semences Stokes avec professionnalisme et expertise. Ce rôle joue également un rôle important dans l’évaluation des produits et les essais au champ afin d’identifier des variétés innovantes et des solutions adaptées au marché.

Principales responsabilités

Assurer la vente et le service des produits Semences Stokes dans le territoire assigné
Favoriser la croissance du territoire en développant de nouvelles occasions d’affaires et en élargissant les relations avec les clients existants
Collaborer avec le Directeur des ventes afin de renforcer la clientèle, soutenir les producteurs actuels et attirer de nouveaux clients
Établir, maintenir et recueillir les données provenant des essais de produits
Effectuer des évaluations au champ de produits précommerciaux et identifier les meilleures opportunités de marché dans le territoire
Collaborer avec les fournisseurs et producteurs-semenciers afin d’identifier de nouveaux produits et de nouvelles opportunités de marché
Représenter Semences Stokes lors d’événements de l’industrie, notamment des salons commerciaux, journées aux champs et réunions des ventes
Soutenir le courtage de boutures végétatives auprès des clients serricoles du territoire
Maintenir les budgets de dépenses conformément aux objectifs régionaux

Qualifications

Licence de niveau Bachelor préféré
3 à 5 années d’expérience pertinente en ventes et marketing
Expérience dans l’industrie des semences maraîchères considérée comme un atout important
Expérience ou formation en agriculture privilégiée
Bonne compréhension de la production, de l’emballage et de la commercialisation des produits maraîchers commerciaux
Excellente maîtrise de l’anglais et du français, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
Capacité démontrée à établir de solides relations d’affaires et à maintenir des partenariats à long terme
Professionnel(le), autonome et confiant(e), avec d’excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles et de communication
Excellentes aptitudes en vente et en négociation, avec la capacité d’identifier les besoins des clients, proposer des solutions et conclure des opportunités d’affaires
Maîtrise des applications Microsoft Office
Aisance avec les outils technologiques afin d’améliorer l’efficacité des ventes et du service à la clientèle
