Original job description

Chief Operating Officer

Storibot.ai Inc. | Calgary, Alberta (hybrid) | Full-time, executive

The story so far

We built Narrative Intelligence. It is the human layer on top of AI and every digital platform, giving the content enterprises produce purpose, meaning and measurable value. Our eight-agent platform runs a closed loop: Signal, Story, Deploy, Measure, Refine. Clients move up a seven-tier subscription ladder from a $22 Writer seat to a $22,000 Enterprise deployment.

We have paying clients, a 100-user beta program at 92% satisfaction, university partnerships, and two 2026 awards for AI platform innovation. We are raising our seed round and preparing for public launch.

The founder has written the opening act. We need the person who runs the production.

The role

You own how Storibot operates. You turn the plan into a schedule, the schedule into a cadence, and the cadence into results the board can read. You sit beside the CEO on the executive team and hold the operating spine of the company: every priority named, every owner assigned, every KPI reported.

You will also be instrumental in our expansion into the United States. We operate through a Canadian build entity and a US operating entity, and the COO leads the operational side of that growth: market entry, partnerships, hiring on the ground, and the systems that let a Calgary company serve American clients as if we were next door.

You will:

  • Run the operating plan across five standing priorities: close the round, convert the current pipeline, protect the company’s IP, build the team, and land the first vertical wedges
  • Lead the operational build-out of our US expansion, from entity operations to first US hires and clients
  • Install a 30/60/90-day client onboarding cycle that repeats cleanly from small business to enterprise
  • Own revenue operations: pipeline hygiene, quoting standards, tier placement, credit packs, and the service guarantees we make to clients
  • Build the people layer: hiring plans, role profiles, a long-term team benefits program, and the giving-back commitment every employee shares in
  • Stand up finance and legal operations with our counsel and accountants across both entities
  • Report monthly on beta evidence, Narrative ROI, retention, cash and runway
  • Keep the product roadmap and the operating plan on one timeline, working with the CEO and the engineering lead

Who you are

You have done this before. You have scaled a software or platform company from first revenue through a Series A or beyond, as COO, VP Operations or GM. Taking a startup all the way to IPO is the experience we value most, and candidates who have operated through that journey will be given strong preference.

You have taken a company across the border, or helped one do it, and you know what it takes to operate in both markets. You read a P&L the way a director reads a script. You are at home in a founder-led company where the vision moves fast and your job is to make it land. You have hired executives, built operating rhythms from nothing, and lived inside a subscription business.

Media, creative or agency experience is a plus. A real love of story is a bigger one.

Calgary-based or willing to relocate. We want you in the room.

What we offer

An executive seat with meaningful equity. A benefits plan built so every team member holds a stake in the company and in the giving-back program we are writing into the foundation. A category we created, a trademark we own, and a product people already pay for. The chance to run operations for a company that intends to be the first of many ventures, and to return a share of what it earns to the people who need it most.

Story is a system. ROI is the proof. Come run the system.
