The Financial Analyst delivers financial and operational insight to support Finance, Operations, and senior management. The position partners with business users, finance leaders, and internal IT to identify process improvements and manage solutions from requirements and design through implementation, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support, while providing backup coverage for reporting and fixed-asset functions as needed.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial and operational reporting to support Finance, Operations and senior management.
- Maintain and enhance automated financial reporting and reconciliation processes, including financial statements, month-end processes, and supporting schedules.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets, multi-year forecasts, and financial models incorporating operational drivers, capital expenditures, and scenario analysis.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and investigative support to the Controller and other finance leaders to resolve complex accounting, reporting, and data questions.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and calculations.
- Build and support data extraction and transformation processes connecting Dynamics NAV, Dataverse, Excel, SharePoint, and other business data sources.
- Design, develop, and maintain business applications and automated workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Excel Office Scripts.
- Maintain and enhance the fixed-asset Power Platform solution, including asset registers, amortization calculations, journal-entry generation, continuity schedules, and capital expenditure reporting.
- Maintain and enhance the shipping manifest and inventory-control Power Platform solution supporting field and office users, including data collection, approvals, document generation, and inventory reconciliation.
- Work with users to assess inefficient or inadequate processes, identify improvements, and develop practical solutions that reduce manual work and improve reliability.
- Manage solution delivery from requirements gathering and process design through development, testing, implementation, training, and ongoing support.
- Troubleshoot business application errors, failed workflows, data refresh issues, and reporting discrepancies.
- Liaise with Microsoft support and internal IT, as required, to investigate and resolve service outages, software bugs, and other technical issues affecting business processes.
- Build validation, reconciliation, and exception handling into reports, applications, and workflows to maintain data integrity and support financial controls.
- Participate in other finance, systems, and process-improvement projects as required.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance, required.
- 3-6 years accounting experience, required.
- CPA designated accountant, or working toward designations, preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform applications (Power Bi, Power Apps, and Power Automate), preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory.
- Good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, required.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Oilfield services experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills; task prioritization and effective time management.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a solution-oriented focus.
