About The Team

The Velocity Sales team engages with some of the largest and fastest-growing businesses in the world to unlock revenue potential through Stripe’s platform. Today, over 55,000 Canadian accounts represent an exceptional, untapped opportunity - previously managed remotely or unserviced locally. We are building out our dedicated Canadian footprint to put local leaders and Account Executives in front of local customers, driving substantial growth across the region. As a First Line Manager leading a team of 6 Account Executives focused on portfolio expansion ("Grower" roles), you will serve as a key strategic builder, shaping our team, expanding our Canadian presence, and leading one of our most exciting regional growth engines.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Existing Business Account Executives focused on the Enterprise segment, driving expansion and retention within Stripe’s largest customers.
Define and execute the long-term vision and strategy for the team, ensuring alignment to revenue growth, renewal, and multi-product adoption goals.
Manage day-to-day operations and performance, including forecasting, pipeline management, and attainment against key metrics such as net revenue retention and product penetration.
Coach and enable the team to lead consultative, solution-oriented conversations that identify new opportunities within existing relationships and deliver measurable customer impact.
Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, and Partnerships to surface customer insights and deliver a unified Stripe experience across accounts.
Build and maintain strong executive relationships with key customers to deepen engagement and uncover new areas for growth.
Inspire, develop, and mentor team members through regular coaching, feedback, and structured career development plans to elevate individual and team performance.
Represent Stripe at industry events and customer forums to drive brand advocacy and market awareness.

Who you are

Minimum Requirements

10+ years of sales experience including 5+ years of people management experience.
Demonstrated experience leading and Enterprise sales team in a high-growth technology environment.
Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performance sales team.
Ability to build strategic executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders.
Demonstrated passion for helping to scale new technology businesses.
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience at a growth stage technology company.
Prior experience in the payments industry

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is CA$338,200 - CA$507,200. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
