STRIVE supports various clients from small to medium-sized enterprises to Fortune 500 organizations for their permanent, contract, and temporary recruitment needs.

The Role

STRIVE Recruitment is partnering with a growing Canadian investment firm specializing in real estate-backed mortgage investments to recruit an entrepreneurial and results-driven Dealing Representative.

As the organization's sole sales representative, you will take ownership of business development, investor acquisition, and relationship management, working with high-net-worth individuals, accredited investors, and institutional clients.

This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives on autonomy, enjoys building relationships, and is comfortable supporting marketing, events, and operational initiatives. The position offers a competitive base salary plus 1% commission with uncapped earning potential.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to attract new investors and grow the organization's investment portfolio.
  • Identify, prospect, and build relationships with high-net-worth individuals, accredited investors, and institutional clients.
  • Leverage existing professional networks while proactively sourcing new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting and investor engagement through to closing and ongoing relationship management.
  • Present and explain real estate-backed mortgage investment products, communicating their structure, potential benefits, and associated risks.
  • Establish and achieve monthly and annual sales targets while identifying opportunities for continued revenue growth.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing investors, ensuring a professional and responsive client experience.

Investor Relations & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with investors through regular communication and ongoing engagement.
  • Ensure investor documentation, due diligence, and onboarding requirements are completed accurately and in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of mortgage investment products, market conditions, industry trends, and competing investment opportunities.
  • Communicate complex investment information clearly and effectively to prospective investors.
  • Maintain accurate records of investor interactions, sales activities, and pipeline development.

Marketing, Events & Operational Support

  • Coordinate investor events, networking opportunities, and business development initiatives to increase brand awareness and generate new leads.
  • Manage event planning and logistics, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-up activities.
  • Support the organization's social media presence and marketing initiatives to strengthen investor engagement and market visibility.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of marketing materials, presentations, and investor communications.
  • Provide administrative support related to sales activities, investor relations, and general business operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, operational efficiencies, and overall business development strategies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, ideally within investment sales, real estate, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Registered as a Dealing Representative with the applicable securities regulatory authority in British Columbia or Alberta, or eligible to obtain registration.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, investor acquisition, relationship management, and achieving sales targets.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence and initiative to independently develop and manage a sales function.
  • An established professional network and the ability to cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, accredited investors, and institutional clients.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial products and investment opportunities clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance sales activities, investor relationships, marketing initiatives, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Experience with event coordination, marketing, or social media management would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with securities regulations, mortgage investment funds, private placements, and related compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously in a growing organization.
