Original job description
Structure Research is a Toronto-based boutique industry research and consulting firm with a global approach and perspective. We are focused on the digital infrastructure industry, covering data centres, cloud computing and AI infrastructure. This is a sector that has tremendous growth potential and is currently thriving throughout the global economy.
Structure Research has an entry level position open for someone looking to get their career off the ground and most importantly, is willing to work hard, learn and think critically. Data centre and cloud computing background is not required but is a definite asset. Fluent second and third languages are also an asset. Finance and business background is preferred as the research associate will be required to track public company earnings, update datasets and be familiar with basic balance sheet concepts. But candidates with education, background and experience in journalism, research and liberal arts, will also be considered.
The research associate will work in support of the senior analyst team and track the digital infrastructure sector on a daily basis. The job entails a significant amount of content consumption, whether written, numerical or verbal, so intellectual curiosity and the ability to work independently is crucial. While there are data entry and tracking elements to the role, over time, the research associate is expected to progress to a publishing analyst position. The position will also make increasingly extensive use of AI tools. The right candidate will take on more responsibilities to that end over the course of the first few years. Information on the company can be found at: www.structureresearch.io
Please respond with a CV and a non-AI created writing sample is helpful.
This job will be based in Toronto, but candidates across Canada are welcome to apply. Vancouver is a second preferred location. The job is hybrid, combining remote work, office time and some travel.
