Original job description
As the Head of Partnerships, you will report directly to the CEO and take ownership of building and scaling our client’s strategic partnerships business. This is a highly pivotal role blending commercial strategy with product-first execution. You will lead the integration of partner products directly into AI-driven platforms, establish scalable new distribution channels for legal services, and recruit a high-performing team to drive aggressive, long-term growth.
What You Will Be Doing
- Scale Partnership Revenue: Drive strategy to double partnership revenue within 3 years by expanding existing enterprise relationships (e.g., major financial institutions, language test providers) and landing new high-impact partners.
- Embed Products & Product Integrations: Collaborate closely with executive leadership and engineering to integrate partner offerings into AI-native portals, optimizing user adoption and post-launch performance.
- Expand Distribution Channels: Build partner-sourced legal services revenue (leveraging academic institutions, corporate partners, etc.) to a $1M annual run rate within 2 years.
- Build & Lead a High-Performing Team: Identify organizational gaps, design tailored roles, and hire top-tier talent with clear scorecards and performance metrics.
- Manage Partner Ecosystem Health: Ensure ongoing contractual commitments, partner health, and relationship satisfaction remain best-in-class.
Key Requirements
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on Partnerships experience with demonstrated product intuition (e.g., experience embedding partner solutions directly into digital products or platforms, similar to fintech or modern tech ecosystem roles).
- Proven cross-functional delivery: Ability to translate partner value propositions into actionable product requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering/product teams.
- Strong commercial acumen: Sharp understanding of partner economics, unit economics, and long-term profitable scalability.
- Senior stakeholder management: Track record of navigating and closing complex deals with large enterprise/institutional stakeholders while operating with the speed and agility of a lean team.
- 0-to-1 team-building capability: Proven ability to hire, mentor, and structure high-performing teams from the ground up.
