Summerhill Market is looking for a reliable and hardworking Bakery Production Worker to join our Bakery Production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the daily preparation, production, packaging, and organization of our bakery products.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced food production environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily preparation and production of bakery products

• Portion, assemble, package, label, and prepare products for distribution to our store locations

• Follow recipes, production sheets, portioning guidelines, and quality standards

• Prepare ingredients and complete basic food-preparation tasks as required

• Operate bakery and production equipment safely and according to training

• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift

• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and workplace health and safety procedures

• Properly store, rotate, date, and label ingredients and finished products

• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing ingredients and supplies

• Monitor product quality and report any concerns to the Bakery leadership team

• Complete production requirements accurately and efficiently

• Support cleaning and sanitation of equipment, tools, work surfaces, and production areas

• Work collaboratively with Bakery team members to meet daily production requirements

• Perform other bakery and production duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Previous bakery, kitchen, food production, manufacturing, or food-service experience is an asset

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, food-safety procedures, and production standards

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive production tasks

• Ability to lift and move ingredients, supplies, and finished products as required

• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs
