Original job description

Account Manager

We are looking for a driven, relationship-focused Account Manager to join our growing team in Calgary in a sales focused Recruitment Consultant role.

This is an opportunity for someone with a strong B2B sales foundation who is looking to take their career in a new direction. Recruitment experience is not required. We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed their sales skills within relationship-driven B2B environments, who take ownership over their results and are seeking autonomy in running their book of business.

The role combines business development, relationship management, and consultative sales. You will work directly with business leaders to understand their hiring needs, develop new client relationships, and become a trusted partner to organizations across Alberta.

What You’ll Do

Develop and grow relationships with new and existing clients
Prospect into target companies and identify new business opportunities
Meet with business leaders to understand their organization, hiring needs, and challenges
Manage the full sales process from initial outreach through to closing new business
Manage the full recruitment cycle, from candidate sourcing and outreach through interviews, references, offers, and placement
Build and maintain a strong network of candidates within your assigned industries and functional areas
Build a strong network within the Alberta business community
Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the recruitment process
Develop expertise within assigned industries and become a trusted advisor to your clients
Attend meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities as required

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of B2B sales, account management, or business development experience
Experience within industrial distribution, equipment, manufacturing, construction products, technology, professional services, or another consultative sales environment
A demonstrated ability to build relationships and develop new business
Track record of prospecting, making outbound calls, and opening new accounts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Competitive, motivated, and proven ability exceeding performance targets
Naturally curious and interested in learning about different companies and industries
Able to manage multiple relationships and priorities at once
Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build a long-term book of business

Why Consider Recruitment?

Recruitment offers the ability building long-term relationships, understanding a client’s business, solving problems, and developing a territory. If you enjoy a consultative role to help solve problems for business owners, executives, and senior leaders across a wide variety of industries, this could be for you.

For the right salesperson, it offers significant autonomy, earning potential, and the opportunity to build a highly valuable professional network.

What We Offer

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission
Established brand and client base
Structured training and ongoing mentorship
Significant autonomy over your business and target market
Opportunity to build your own client portfolio
Collaborative, experienced team
Long-term career and leadership opportunities
Hybrid work environment

If you have built a foundation in B2B sales and are interested in applying those skills in a more entrepreneurial, relationship-driven career, we would like to hear from you.
