- Oversee production planning, labour scheduling, equipment reliability and maintenance activities.
- Lead, develop and hold employees accountable for performance, safe work practices and operational expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality and overall plant performance.
- Manage inventory, materials and shipping processes to support customer requirements and business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with corporate leadership and support teams to achieve operational goals.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a practical, results-oriented leader who understands that successful plant management requires a balance of strong floor-level involvement, sound business practices and effective people leadership. You are comfortable setting clear expectations, addressing safety concerns directly and building a positive, respectful workplace across a diverse workforce.
You will ideally bring:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production or industrial operations, including leadership responsibility.
- A strong background in workplace safety, hazard identification and the implementation of safe operating practices.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and an understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing production teams, scheduling, inventory and shipping or logistics functions.
- The ability to coach, motivate and hold employees accountable while maintaining a constructive team environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on operational efficiency, quality and cost control.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mechanical systems or related technical environments would be advantageous. A strong understanding of equipment reliability, troubleshooting and safe operating practices is particularly valuable. A relevant technical education or an equivalent combination of training and practical experience is also welcomed.
Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $130-160K commensurate upon experience, a company bonus, strong benefit program in addition to the RRSP matching.
