Summit Search Group is proud to partner with our client in the recruitment of a Sales Account Manager to support and grow its business throughout Saskatchewan. This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with business development and building lasting customer partnerships.

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established manufacturers’ representative specializing in protection, control, automation, and interconnection solutions for the electric power industry. Serving customers across Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative, reliable solutions and exceptional customer support.

For more than 25 years, our client has proudly provided industry-leading products and technical expertise to utilities and industrial customers.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager based in Saskatchewan to manage key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships with utilities and industrial customers across the province.

This role offers a unique blend of technical sales, account management, and business development. Working closely with customers and manufacturing partners, you will identify opportunities, understand technical requirements, and deliver solutions that meet evolving industry needs.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, customer-focused professional who thrives on building relationships, takes ownership of their territory, and is motivated to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow strategic customer accounts throughout Saskatchewan.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, industrial customers, and key decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client’s market presence.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to coordinate technical presentations, proposals, and customer support.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales targets and support long-term growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
  • Act as a trusted resource to customers, providing responsive service and ongoing relationship management.
  • Qualifications & Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, or business development.
    • Proven success developing new business, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets.
    • Knowledge of electric power systems, with experience in substation protection, control, or automation considered an asset.
    • Post-secondary degree in a related field.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and follow through on commitments.
    • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to customer service.
    • Currently residing in Saskatchewan, with at least five years of residency in the province.

    The Ideal Fit

You are a motivated sales professional who enjoys developing business, building trusted relationships, and delivering solutions that make a difference. You bring a combination of technical understanding, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in the electric power industry.

You are comfortable working independently, take pride in providing exceptional customer service, and are excited by the opportunity to represent a respected organization with a strong industry reputation and long-standing manufacturing partnerships.
