Our client is a growing HVAC and building products organization seeking a full-time Senior Account Manager to support continued business growth across Ontario. This position will involve travel throughout an Ontario territory. Candidates can be based anywhere in Ontario.
This is a senior-level sales opportunity responsible for growing market share, expanding customer relationships, and supporting the continued development of dealer, contractor, distributor, and key account partnerships. The successful candidate will combine strategic account management, business development, and strong industry knowledge to drive sales performance and support long-term growth initiatives across the territory.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
Account Management & Business Development
· Manage and grow a portfolio of key dealer, contractor, distributor, and national account relationships throughout Ontario.
· Develop long-term customer partnerships while maximizing sales growth and profitability.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and customer relationships to expand the organization's presence within the market.
· Develop and execute territory plans, account strategies, sales forecasts, and growth initiatives.
· Build strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders across assigned accounts.
Sales & Customer Solutions
· Present and promote HVAC and heat pump solutions to prospective and existing customers.
· Provide product, application, pricing, and solution-based recommendations aligned with customer requirements.
· Advise customers on applicable rebate, incentive, and energy-efficiency programs that support product adoption.
· Deliver product presentations, training sessions, and customer meetings both in person and virtually.
· Support customers throughout the sales cycle, from opportunity identification through implementation and ongoing account support.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Collaborate with technical, operations, customer service, and internal sales teams to support customer requirements and project opportunities.
· Coordinate quotation requests, order management activities, product availability, and delivery requirements.
· Support customers with complex applications and project-specific opportunities.
· Ensure pricing and commercial activities align with company policies and guidelines.
Leadership & Market Development
· Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior sales team members as required.
· Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking functions.
· Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities.
· Share market intelligence and customer insights with internal stakeholders to support business growth initiatives.
Reporting & Territory Management
· Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, forecasts, and sales performance within CRM and company systems.
· Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and account updates.
· Manage a multi-account territory while balancing relationship management, business development, and account growth activities.
· Travel throughout Ontario as required to support customers, develop business opportunities, and attend industry events.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, HVAC, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
· Minimum 5-8 years of sales experience in the HVAC industry or a related building-products / distribution field.
· Demonstrated success growing sales, developing territories, and managing key customer accounts.
· Strong knowledge of dealer, contractor, distributor, and channel sales environments.
· Understanding of HVAC systems, heat pump technologies, and related applications.
· Familiarity with energy-efficiency programs, rebate programs, and market incentives is considered an asset.
· Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a territory and customer portfolio.
· Strong business development, account planning, and strategic selling skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
· Valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
· Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting junior sales professionals is considered an asset.
· Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
