Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related technical discipline would be considered an asset, not a requirement
7-10 years of experience in turnaround planning, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, asset integrity, project controls, or shutdown execution
Demonstrated experience supporting large industrial facilities such as oil sands, refineries, upgraders, mining, petrochemical, or power generation operations
Strong strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and analytical decision-making skills
Experience with capital project funding, budgeting, or financial management is considered an asset
Experience using SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Platform tools

Responsibilities:

Lead planning and alignment sessions with Production Unit teams to develop, maintain, and update the 10-year financial Long-Range Plan (LRP) for MIOT, including historical costs, rates, cost model changes, and benchmarking inputs
Prepare and submit the 10-year turnaround financial Long-Range Plan as part of the Budget and Business Plan process and support the development of related presentation materials for review
Prepare turnaround funding requests and support approvals throughout the full lifecycle of each turnaround event
Consolidate monthly turnaround forecasts, complete variance analysis, and prepare stewardship materials and updates for turnaround leadership
Support month-end financial activities in partnership with Project Controls and Finance, including journal entries, cost centre clearing, and other related tasks
Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities related to turnaround capital management, fiscal stewardship, and long-range financial planning
Review and challenge assumptions, timelines, and cost estimates from previous plans to strengthen planning quality and improve future outcomes
Serve as a subject matter expert on turnaround funding policies by guiding Production Units on budget decisions and partnering with Finance to support training for Turnaround and Production Unit teams.

You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
