Original job description

\nBuild Work That People Talk About.

At Sundae Creative, we craft the brand narratives, campaigns, conversations, and experiences that shape culture.

We're a team of strategists, storytellers, publicists, influencer marketers, event producers, social thinkers, and creatives who believe the best ideas come from curious people who aren't afraid to challenge convention. We move fast, think big, and genuinely enjoy building great work together.

Sundae Creative is one of Canada's fastest-growing brand communications agencies, specializing in public relations, influencer marketing, social storytelling, events and experiential marketing. With offices in Montreal and Toronto, we partner with leading brands across beauty, fashion, lifestyle, wellness, and consumer sectors to create work that earns attention and drives influence.

Our teams are built around expertise, not silos. Brand Communications, Influencer Marketing, Events & Experiential, and Social Media work together seamlessly to deliver integrated strategies that are culturally relevant, insight-driven, and designed to make an impact.

At Sundae Creative, we've built an agency that's ambitious, collaborative, and proudly independent. Being part of the Dulcedo Group gives us another layer of strength: shared expertise, more resources and opportunities that simply amplify what we already do best. It's the best of both worlds!

We're obsessed with raising the bar - for our clients, for our work, and for each other. We value curiosity over ego, initiative over titles, and people who aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and build something exceptional.

At Sundae, we believe growth comes from experience, not just observation.

What You'll Own as a Social & Studio Lead

Lead the Social Offering

Own the day-to-day direction of Sundae’s Social offering, setting priorities, standards, and ways of working across the team.
Personally lead the development of social strategies and creative concepts across key accounts, connecting client goals, audience insights, culture, platform behaviour, and measurable outcomes.
Establish and maintain strong quality-control standards across social strategies, content calendars, creative assets, and client deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and creative excellence.
Stay close to the work, providing strategic and creative direction while ensuring the team consistently delivers at a high standard.

Drive Performance & Client Growth

Build strategies grounded in clear KPIs, analytics, platform performance, and business objectives.
Translate performance insights into stronger recommendations, creative decisions, and opportunities to improve results.
Lead senior client relationships, presentations, and strategic conversations with confidence.
Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships and collaborate with our Growth team to develop and pitch new business opportunities.

Run the Business of Social

Scope projects accurately across deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resources.
Manage team capacity and account needs while protecting the quality and profitability of the work.
Bring strong commercial awareness to decisions around resourcing, scope, revenue, and account growth.

Lead & Develop the Team

Manage, mentor, and develop the Social team through clear expectations, feedback, coaching, and ongoing support.
Oversee workloads and priorities, ensuring accounts are appropriately resourced and the team can operate effectively.
Build efficient processes that create clarity, accountability, and consistency across the department.

Grow Sundae Studio

Help shape and grow Sundae Studio as a social-first content and production offering.
Identify new services, client needs, and revenue opportunities that can expand the Studio offering.
Oversee creative direction, production approaches, scopes, budgets, and quality from concept through final delivery.
Build and manage a trusted network of freelance production partners, ensuring projects are appropriately scoped, efficiently resourced, and delivered profitably.
Partner with internal teams and external production specialists to bring ambitious creative ideas to life without needing to personally execute every aspect of production.

Connect the Bigger Picture

Understand how organic social works alongside influencer marketing, paid media, PR, Events, and Creative.
Collaborate across Sundae to develop stronger integrated campaigns and identify opportunities that go beyond a single channel.

A Few Things We Look For

Agency Experience: You bring 7+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or creative communications, ideally within a social-first, creative, or integrated agency environment.
Social Expertise: You have deep expertise in organic social strategy, short-form video, platform-native storytelling, content development, and performance analytics across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms. You understand how to translate cultural insights into content that drives engagement and measurable results.
People Leadership: You have proven experience managing and developing a team, including setting priorities, managing workloads, providing feedback, and helping people grow.
Client Leadership: You’re confident leading senior client relationships, presenting strategic recommendations, navigating challenging conversations, and acting as a trusted advisor.
Creative Vision & Judgment: You have a strong creative point of view, exceptional attention to detail, and a natural instinct for what makes content culturally relevant and visually compelling. You can confidently guide creative teams, challenge ideas, and elevate the quality of the work.
Production & Creative Oversight: You have experience overseeing content production, including sourcing and assembling external production teams, developing creative briefs, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high creative standard. You’re confident managing client relationships throughout the production process and holding external partners accountable for successful execution.
Business Development & Pitching: You genuinely enjoy business development and have a proven ability to develop and confidently pitch compelling social strategies and creative concepts. You’re comfortable identifying client opportunities, presenting to prospective clients, and collaborating with our Growth team to win new business.
Commercial Mindset: You understand the business side of agency life, including scoping, budgets, resource planning, account growth, and protecting the profitability of client work.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: You thrive in environments where there’s an opportunity to build, not just maintain. You’re excited by developing new offerings, creating opportunities, establishing processes, and taking ownership of both the creative and commercial success of your work.
Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English is required. Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset.

Perks That Support Your Best Work

We believe great work starts with feeling supported - in your career and in your life. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Flexible Time Off: After your first year, you’ll have access to unlimited paid vacation, grounded in trust, accountability, and alignment with your team. During your first year, vacation is accrued based on an annual two-week entitlement.

Early Fridays: Get a head start on your weekend with year-round summer hours - our workday wraps up at 2 p.m. every Friday.

Holiday Closure: Our offices close between Christmas and New Year’s, giving everyone dedicated time to fully unplug, recharge, and enjoy the holidays.

Comprehensive Benefits: After your first month, you’ll have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage designed to support you and your loved ones.

Career Growth & Mentorship: We’re looking for people who want to build a career with us. As Sundae continues to grow, you’ll have opportunities to take on new challenges, expand your scope, and develop your skills with support, mentorship, and regular feedback from your team and leaders.

Compensation Philosophy

At Sundae Creative, we believe compensation should be transparent, competitive, and reflective of impact.

Every role is supported by clearly defined salary bands based on market benchmarks, internal equity, and the scope of the position. As your responsibilities grow and your impact expands, your compensation should grow alongside them.

We invest in our people through ongoing coaching, meaningful performance conversations, and clearly defined career paths because long-term growth shouldn't happen by accident.

$90,000 - $100,000 a year

+ commission opportunity

At Sundae Creative, we’re committed to building a team where everyone feels welcome, respected, and empowered to do their best work. We believe that diverse perspectives make us stronger, and we’re proud to foster an inclusive workplace where people can show up as themselves. If you require accommodations at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know by contacting talentacquisition@sundaecreative.com. We’re happy to work with you to ensure an accessible and supportive experience.
