Sunly Energy – Nova Scotia South

Sunly Energy – Nova Scotia South is looking for an experienced, hands-on Lead Solar Installer to join our growing team.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys working on the tools, and has the experience to help lead a small installation crew.

This is a working lead position. You'll be on the roof alongside your team, helping coordinate daily activities and ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

For candidates pursuing an electrical apprenticeship, this role also offers opportunities to continue developing their electrical skills while working alongside qualified electricians.

Why Join Sunly?

4-day workweek supporting work-life balance
Competitive pay based on experience
Hands-on leadership role with opportunities for growth
Electrical apprenticeship opportunities for eligible candidates
Supportive, locally owned team that values quality workmanship and teamwork
Meaningful work helping Nova Scotians take control of their energy costs

What You'll Do

Lead by example while installing residential and commercial solar systems
Coordinate daily installation tasks and provide direction to other installers
Install solar racking, panels, and associated equipment
Read installation drawings and help keep projects on schedule
Work alongside electricians on solar and battery installations, performing electrical tasks only within your authorized scope and under appropriate supervision
Maintain safe, organized job sites and high installation standards
Help ensure projects are completed properly, minimizing deficiencies and return visits

What We're Looking For

Experience in solar installation, roofing, carpentry, electrical work, or construction
Experience leading a small crew or coordinating installation activities
Strong hands-on skills and comfort working at heights
Ability to read and follow installation drawings
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Valid driver's licence and commitment to safe work practices

Assets:

Previous solar installation experience
Currently registered as an electrical apprentice or interested in continuing an apprenticeship
Residential roofing experience
Fall Protection or First Aid certification

About Us

Sunly Energy is one of the Maritimes' leading solar providers. Sunly Energy – Nova Scotia South is locally owned and operated, serving the South Shore, Annapolis Valley, and Southwestern Nova Scotia.

We take pride in delivering quality solar and battery installations while building a strong local team.

Interested?

If you're an experienced tradesperson who enjoys working hands-on, leading by example, and wants to grow in the renewable energy industry, we'd love to hear from you.
