Sunly Energy – Nova Scotia South is looking for an experienced, hands-on Lead Solar Installer to join our growing team.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys working on the tools, and has the experience to help lead a small installation crew.
This is a working lead position. You'll be on the roof alongside your team, helping coordinate daily activities and ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
For candidates pursuing an electrical apprenticeship, this role also offers opportunities to continue developing their electrical skills while working alongside qualified electricians.

- Coordinate daily installation tasks and provide direction to other installers
- Install solar racking, panels, and associated equipment
- Read installation drawings and help keep projects on schedule
- Work alongside electricians on solar and battery installations, performing electrical tasks only within your authorized scope and under appropriate supervision
- Maintain safe, organized job sites and high installation standards
- Help ensure projects are completed properly, minimizing deficiencies and return visits
- Experience in solar installation, roofing, carpentry, electrical work, or construction
- Experience leading a small crew or coordinating installation activities
- Strong hands-on skills and comfort working at heights
- Ability to read and follow installation drawings
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's licence and commitment to safe work practices
Assets:
- Previous solar installation experience
- Currently registered as an electrical apprentice or interested in continuing an apprenticeship
- Residential roofing experience
- Fall Protection or First Aid certification
