Responsibilities
Prepare surgical case carts for routine, specialized, and emergency situations, and operate decontamination and sterilization equipment. Prepare and package sterile instruments and supplies while meeting quality indicators, and deliver and pick up supplies.
Requirements
An approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate and essential instrumentation experience are required; previous Technician II experience in a Medical Device Reprocessing Centre is also essential and receives priority. Candidates should have broad knowledge of surgical services and complex instrumentation, case cart preparation proficiency, computer skills, strong organization and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team; operating room technical experience is preferred.
