- Prepares surgical case carts for regular specialized and emergency situations.
- Operates decontamination equipment, prepares and packages sterile instrumentation/supplies, ensuring all quality indicators are met
- Operates all sterilization equipment.
- Delivery and pick-up of supplies.
- Approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate required
- Instrumentation experience essential
- Previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC is essential
- Applicants with previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC will be given priority
- Broad knowledge of all surgical services and complex instrumentation
- O.R. technical experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to function as a team member as well as independently
- Ability to work and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in case cart preparation
- Competent computer skills

Responsibilities
Prepare surgical case carts for routine, specialized, and emergency procedures. Operate decontamination and sterilization equipment, prepare and package instruments and supplies while meeting quality indicators, and deliver and pick up supplies.
Requirements
An approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate and previous Technician II experience in a Medical Device Reprocessing Centre are required; instrumentation experience is essential. Broad knowledge of surgical services and complex instrumentation, case cart preparation proficiency, strong organizational and computer skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required; operating room technical experience is preferred.
