We are looking for a reliable and safety focused Yard Operations Technician (Utility II) to support daily yard, inventory, and cylinder operations at our Fenelon Falls location. This is a hands on, physically demanding role suited for individuals with labor, yard, or industrial experience who are comfortable working outdoors year round.
 
The Utility II plays an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and professional yard, supporting propane cylinder preparation, inventory control, and assisting drivers and service technicians.
 
What you'll do:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, including proper storage of tanks and assets
• Fill, paint, and prepare cylinders and tanks for customer installations
• Perform general yard, equipment, and facility maintenance
• Identify and address safety concerns immediately, reporting issues to the Field Operations Manager when required
• Manage inventory, including asset tracking, shipping and receiving, and unloading rail cars
• Assist delivery drivers and service technicians with inventory and vehicle support
• Respond to basic customer inquiries at the yard location and redirect as needed
• Complete light administrative duties such as invoicing and filing
• Perform other assigned duties to support yard and field operations
• Fill propane cylinders as needed.

What you bring:

• Minimum of one (1) year or less experience.
• Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract is an asset.
• Prior experience in a labor role is an asset.
• Ability to repetitively lift 60 lbs on a regular basis
• Knowledge of propane and propane handling is an asset.
• Physically capable to lift and move heavy equipment.
• Good computer skills to enter and manage inventory.

Salary: $27.00 hourly (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
