Team Overview
This is your opportunity to join a dynamic company with a team that works very well together and has solid organized structures in place. Supra is rebuilding its Managed Services account management function in Canada around a pod model: every customer has a named Account Manager who owns the relationship and the revenue, paired with a Customer IT Manager (CITM) who acts as the technical co-pilot for architecture, security, and the technology roadmap. The Canadian team covers managed services customers ranging from fast-growing small businesses to complex multi-site enterprises, and works closely with Supra’s delivery, security, and leadership teams in Canada and India.
YOU ARE!
You are a field seller at heart. You have carried a territory or a customer list at a VAR, a distributor, or a technology reseller, and you know that the best deals and the earliest warnings both come from being in the customer’s office, not from a dashboard.
You know how technology gets bought. Hardware refresh cycles, Microsoft and vendor licensing, quoting, margins, and lead times are second nature. You can explain why a customer should refresh their firewalls this year without a CITM in the room, and you know when to bring one in.
You are a relationship builder who closes. You keep a cadence with every customer in your book, you renew on time and at rate, and you spot the expansion before the customer asks for it.
The Account Executive owns a book of small and mid-size managed services customers. You are the named relationship owner for every account: you renew the agreements, sell hardware, software, licensing, and service additions into the base, run scheduled reviews, and keep each customer healthy. You work in a pod with India-based CITMs who provide the technical co-pilot for your accounts. The role reports to the Director of Customer Success, based in Canada.
This is a field role based in the Greater Toronto Area. Supra is a hybrid workplace, but this position exists to be in front of customers: you will spend the majority of your working week on site with customers across the GTA and Southern Ontario or at Supra’s Mississauga office, and time working from home will be limited. Expect to be in front of customers at least three days a week, with a planned route of visits across the GTA and Southern Ontario. A valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required; mileage is reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities Relationship Ownership In The Field
- Be the named relationship owner for every account in your book; know the decision maker and the day-to-day contact at each one and visit on a planned cadence (quarterly at minimum, more often for growing or at-risk accounts).
- Run scheduled service reviews with the CITM, covering ticket trends, SLA performance, open projects, and the next twelve months of needs.
- Act as the customer’s escalation point and make sure every commitment made by Supra is kept.
- Own the renewal calendar for your book; open renewal conversations 120 days ahead and close on time at or above current rate.
- Identify at-risk accounts early (service issues, budget pressure, competitor activity) and work the save plan with your CITM and leadership.
- Maintain gross revenue retention on the book as a primary measure of success.
- Sell hardware refreshes, Microsoft and vendor licensing, security add-ons, cloud, and project work into the installed base; build and work a pipeline for every account.
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals with the pricing desk and distributors; manage margins, lead times, and vendor programs.
- Pass larger, roadmap-driven opportunities to the Account Manager tier with a warm handoff where appropriate.
- Partner daily with the CITMs assigned to your accounts; translate technical recommendations into business cases the customer can approve.
- Share customer intelligence from every visit with the pod so the technical plan reflects what the customer actually needs.
- Keep ConnectWise and the CRM current: contacts, agreements, renewal dates, opportunities, and visit notes within 24 hours.
- Report weekly on renewals, pipeline, visits completed, and at-risk accounts against the team scorecard.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of business-to-business selling or account management in technology, including candidates from hardware and software backgrounds at VARs, distributors, or technology resellers.
- Demonstrated track record of renewing and growing a customer base, with quota or target attainment to point to.
- Working knowledge of business IT: Microsoft 365 and licensing, networking and security hardware (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki or similar), endpoints and servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo), and cloud fundamentals.
- Comfort with quoting, margin management, distributor programs, and vendor deal registration.
- Understanding of managed services agreements and recurring revenue is an asset; we will build on it.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills; credible with owners, office managers, and IT leads alike.
- Self-managed and disciplined: you plan your week, run your route, and keep your records clean without being asked.
- Commercial instincts with the integrity to recommend what the customer actually needs.
- Resilient, organized, and comfortable managing a large book of accounts in a fast-paced environment.
