Surmesur · Salary based on experience · Reports to the Director of Operations & Products · On-site warehouse role, full-time

___________________________________________________________________________

Nothing moves through the network without you

While our showrooms create the client experience, you make sure the right product is in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost. We're not asking you to just execute; we're asking you to decide whether to consolidate or ship fast, see a delay coming before it hits, and keep it all rigorous and accurate.

What you'll actually do

Your week splits across three things: supply, distribution, and inventory. You receive and verify the orders coming into the warehouse, manage international transport, and chase carriers when things run late. You prepare and ship what goes out to the 10 boutiques and directly to clients, choosing the best shipping option based on cost and timing. You keep inventory accurate in the warehouse and in stores. You see a delay coming; you step in. You see a better way to ship, you take it.

Supply & Inventory

  • Receive and verify the accuracy of accessory, garment, and supply orders at the warehouse
  • Manage international transport and proactively follow up with carriers and suppliers when there are delays
  • Run periodic warehouse inventory counts and oversee store inventory counts
  • Prepare barcodes for new products and adjust inventory during inter-store transfers

Distribution & Shipping (stores and clients)

  • Prepare periodic accessory and supply orders for the stores
  • Distribute new fabric books, tools, and client orders to the stores
  • Prepare and ship client orders delivered to their homes
  • Optimize shipping decisions (consolidate or ship fast) based on cost and timing
  • Answer store questions about shipping and supply

Building Support

  • Keep facilities running and stocked with various supplies
  • Manage parking and run a weekly walkthrough of building needs

The Coordinator will also support the operations of MTM.Design, Surmesur's sister company, by handling order preparation and shipping, trade show logistics, and the tracking of deliveries and returns. They will also be responsible for inventory management, the day-to-day operation of the Shopify store, and coordination with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.

What you earn

  • Annual salary based on your experience and expertise
  • Unlimited vacation (minimum 3 weeks)
  • $550 clothing allowance every six months
  • 60% discount on your Surmesur purchases
  • Group insurance and savings programs after 3 months
  • Paid ongoing training
  • Access to the company gym

Why Surmesur

  • A 15-year-old brand with 10 boutiques, B Corp certified since 2025, and on track to open several more.
  • Real autonomy. You're the keeper of the flow, not an executor waiting for instructions.
  • A tangible role. Every product that lands in the right place at the right time is on you.

Who it's for

  • You hold a DEP or DEC in logistics, operations management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management and 3+ years in procurement/supply
  • You're rigorous and meticulous: your stock, receiving, and shipping are accurate
  • You have the critical thinking to decide between consolidating and waiting or shipping fast
  • You're comfortable with inventory systems, barcodes, Google Suite, and Excel
  • You can perform physical work and are available for occasional requests outside regular hours
  • Retail, fashion, or premium-brand experience is an asset
  • Bilingual French/English, spoken and written

At Surmesur, we subscribe to the principle of employment equity and invite women, visible minorities, native people, people with disabilities, LGBTQ2S+ people, and otherwise marginalized people to apply. The following actions have also been taken to make our workplace more inclusive:

  • A diverse executive team that brings different perspectives and experiences to decision-making.
  • Leave to care for a child or an elderly person.

  • Training on harassment in the workplace.
  • Job offers are published on several sites to reach as many candidates as possible.
