Proposal Specialist

For this role, we’re interested in connecting with talented professionals who enjoy writing proposals and have a strong technical or engineering background. If you enjoy working with customers, translating technical information into clear and persuasive proposals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop proposals: Review RFPs/RFQs and prepare clear, accurate, and competitive technical and commercial proposals.
Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Sales, Project Management, Finance, and other teams to gather technical, financial, and project information.
Support customer solutions: Partner with Sales to develop solutions that meet customer requirements while considering project scope, services, software, and costs.
Manage proposal activities: Track quotations and proposals, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure submissions meet required timelines and company standards.
Support continuous improvement: Share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices to help improve proposal processes and quality.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
5+ years of proposal experience in application engineering or a similar technical role.
Systems knowledge in SCADA, automation, control systems, or the IT industry is an asset.
Strong technical and proposal writing skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and persuasive content.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Visio and Microsoft Project is an asset.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing RFP/RFQ requirements, cost breakdowns, proposal formatting, and wording.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while collaborating effectively with customers and internal teams
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
