Purpose of the Role:

As an IT Support Co-op, you will provide hands-on technical support to Svante employees while contributing to the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of the company’s IT environment. You will support end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with onboarding and offboarding, manage IT assets, and help maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and infrastructure services. The role will also provide opportunities to support technology enablement initiatives across manufacturing and automation environments while collaborating with the broader IT team and other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure services, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts including VLANs, routing, and switching.
Previous experience in technical support, help desk, systems administration, or a related IT environment is preferred, with familiarity with Atlassian products considered an asset.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

What Success Looks Like in This Role:

Provide timely and effective IT support to end users, triage and manage support tickets in accordance with established Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and resolve hardware and software issues.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including user account and mailbox administration, laptop imaging and deployment, and access management across Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Maintain IT assets and infrastructure by supporting inventory and lifecycle management, meeting room technology, servers, networking equipment, and other IT systems.
Support corporate security, backup, and disaster recovery practices while following established IT policies and security best practices.
Create and maintain technical documentation and Knowledge Base articles while contributing to continuous improvement and technology enablement initiatives across Svante’s corporate and manufacturing environments.

Bonus Qualifications & Experience:

Experience with Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Windows 10/11 administration.
Exposure to networking technologies including VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, WAN/LAN infrastructure, and wireless access points.
Experience with IT service management or collaboration platforms, particularly Atlassian products.
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions, IT asset management, endpoint deployment, or security best practices.
CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server/Administrator, AZ-104, or equivalent certifications are considered an asset.
