Who - the Company:
Our client is a well-established and highly successful North American real estate development, investment and management company headquartered in downtown Vancouver. With a large and diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties across North America, this organization has built a strong reputation for its entrepreneurial approach, continued growth and collaborative corporate culture. The company offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where employees are encouraged to take ownership, challenge the status quo and contribute to continuous improvement.

Our client is seeking a Manager, Tax to join their Finance team on a 12-month contract, with the potential to extend up to 16 months. This is a hands-on opportunity to support tax compliance, reporting and planning across a complex, multi-entity real estate organization.

Additional responsibilities include preparing tax provisions and estimates, responding to tax authority enquiries, supporting tax planning and research, and assisting with investor-related tax matters.
Working closely with a collaborative Finance team, the successful candidate will also contribute to improving tax processes, enhancing working papers and supporting various tax and accounting projects.
Who - the Candidate:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and technically strong tax professional with a professional accounting designation and a minimum of five years of progressive tax-related experience. The ideal candidate has experience working with large corporate groups, either in public practice or an in-house tax function, with a strong foundation in corporate tax compliance, tax provisions, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel and Word skills are required, along with familiarity with TaxPrep or comparable tax software. Previous experience in real estate taxation and/or public practice would be considered strong assets.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical and naturally curious, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. They will be comfortable managing competing priorities and tight deadlines, working both independently and collaboratively, and bringing a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to their work. A genuine interest in taxation, continuous learning and process improvement will be key to success in this role.
