SWIM is excited to partner with a Vancouver-based purpose driven organization on a 6-month contract opportunity for a Total Rewards & Compensation Consultant. This is a well-rounded, project-based role spanning Total Rewards, Compensation, Job Evaluation, Change Management, and program implementation. You’ll support compensation analysis, refine existing programs, and help roll out new initiatives while working closely with senior HR and business leaders.

What- the Role:
The Total Rewards & Compensation Consultant will support the finalization and implementation of compensation and Total Rewards programs, including compensation philosophy, incentive programs, job evaluation and classification, and related organizational initiatives.
You’ll work closely with HR and Finance leaders and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through both strategic analysis and hands-on project execution.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Supporting the review, refinement, and implementation of compensation and Total Rewards programs
- Conducting compensation analysis, market benchmarking, salary reviews, and related reporting
- Supporting job evaluation, job classification, job descriptions, and reclassification initiatives
- Supporting the rollout and implementation of new Total Rewards programs and initiatives
- Providing project support through organizational transformation and change initiatives
- Supporting project planning, implementation, stakeholder engagement, and change management
- Assisting with the administration and evolution of recognition and incentive programs
- Supporting organizational design and other people-related transformation initiatives
- Preparing analysis, reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership
- Presenting compensation and Total Rewards information to senior leaders and Executives
- Working across a multi-site organization, partnering with stakeholders across different locations and business areas
- Using HRIS data and systems to support compensation analysis and Total Rewards administration
Who- the Candidate:
We’re looking for a well-rounded Total Rewards / Compensation professional with 4+ years of HR experience, ideally 6+ years, and a strong depth of experience in compensation and Total Rewards.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong experience in Total Rewards and Compensation, including compensation analysis, job evaluation, job classification, reclassifications, compensation surveys, recognition programs, and related initiatives
- Demonstrated experience supporting change management, transformation, and the rollout/implementation of new programs
- Experience taking projects from planning through implementation, with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Experience working in a multi-site organization; exposure to diverse employee populations and/or multiple business units is highly valued
- Experience supporting organizations with 150+ employees is preferred
- Strong HRIS experience, ideally with UKG
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to analyze data and create clear, executive-ready presentations
- The confidence and communication skills to present recommendations and findings to senior leaders and Executives
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate compensation data into clear recommendations
- A collaborative, approachable, and practical working style, with the ability to build strong relationships across HR, Finance, and business leadership
- HR education such as a degree, diploma, certificate, or CPHR designation
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or progress toward the designation is an asset
- Experience within a purpose-driven, community-focused, investment, development, or similarly complex organization would be an asset
How Much:
Hourly consulting rate commensurate with relevant experience, skills, and education. The anticipated range is approximately $50–$100/hour.
Open to both employees (plus 4% vacation pay) and incorporated consultants.

The organization is headquartered in Vancouver. The successful candidate can generally work 3–4 days per week remotely, depending on meetings and business requirements.
