Quality Assurance Test Lead

We’re seeking a hands-on QA automation professional to help build, maintain, and improve automated testing solutions. This role is suited to someone who can work independently, explain their technical contributions clearly, and take automation work from design through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests using Python.
• Contribute to automation frameworks and testing strategies.
• Test REST APIs and automate API checks using tools such as Postman.
• Perform database testing and validate results using SQL.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Git for code changes, commits, merges, pull requests, and branch management.
• Investigate defects, communicate findings, and work with delivery teams to improve quality.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on Python automation experience, including developing or maintaining test scripts or frameworks.
• Experience with API testing and database testing, including SQL validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Working knowledge of Git, including pushing code and managing merges.
• Ability to work independently and clearly describe your role in building and maintaining automation solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical work and results.

Experience with the Python Robot Framework is helpful. Training can be provided for candidates with a strong Python automation background. Candidates with automation experience in another language may also be considered if they can demonstrate the ability to transition to Python.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with two days per week in the Toronto office.

Interview Process: An initial one-hour panel interview via Teams; a second in-person interview may be required.
