Senior Applications Developer – Golang | Capital Markets

LOB: Capital Markets – ASG

Location: Toronto

Work Model: Hybrid – Wednesday & Thursday onsite

Contract: 6 months, with potential for extension or FTE conversion

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Hours: 37.5 hours/week, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Interview Process: 2 rounds

Team Size: 10–15

Pay Rates:

T4 - $61.36
INC - $73.04

What You'll Do

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Go/Golang.
Own development deliverables from requirements analysis through testing and production deployment.
Learn and work within an established application architecture, business domain, dependencies, and supporting systems.
Support integration testing, UAT, implementation, and production releases.
Independently lead smaller projects or application initiatives.
Provide technical direction, mentorship, and development guidance to team members.
Build and maintain comprehensive unit test suites using Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
Apply clean-code principles and software development best practices.
Help establish consistent coding, testing, and quality standards across the team.
Use Snyk, SonarQube, and similar tools to identify and address code quality, security, and vulnerability concerns.
Collaborate with development, testing, security, and delivery teams.
Stay engaged with emerging AI-assisted and AI-driven software development practices.

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

6–8 years of overall software development experience.
2–3+ years of hands-on Go/Golang development experience.
Strong backend application development experience.
Experience providing technical direction, mentorship, or development guidance.
Strong knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Experience developing and maintaining comprehensive unit test suites.
Experience with static code analysis and security/vulnerability scanning tools, specifically Snyk and SonarQube.

Nice to Have:

Interest or experience with AI-assisted/AI-driven development tools and practices.
Experience with payment applications, foreign exchange platforms, or Capital Markets technology.
