Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Every Thursday onsite + 1 Friday per month)

About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior Angular Engineer to play a key role in a major front-end modernization initiative. This is an opportunity to influence architectural decisions, establish reusable standards, and help shape the future direction of a portfolio of enterprise applications.

The successful candidate will lead efforts to modernize shared front-end frameworks, improve application maintainability, and create scalable solutions that can be leveraged across multiple development teams. This role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to make lasting technical contributions while working alongside a highly collaborative engineering group.

What You'll Be Doing

Front-End Architecture & Modernization

• Assess and analyze shared front-end frameworks, layout components, navigation structures, and UI dependencies across multiple applications.
• Design and develop reusable Angular-based component libraries and application frameworks that can be consumed across multiple products.
• Establish scalable architecture patterns that improve maintainability and reduce dependencies on legacy frameworks.
• Define modernization strategies that support future Angular upgrades and long-term application sustainability.

Migration & Platform Engineering

• Lead the migration of legacy front-end implementations toward modern Angular best practices.
• Replace outdated JavaScript and jQuery-based functionality with component-driven Angular solutions.
• Evaluate and implement approaches for modernizing UI frameworks and styling architectures.
• Develop rollout strategies that minimize disruption across multiple application teams.

Design System & Shared Services

• Build reusable UI components, layouts, navigation frameworks, and theming capabilities.
• Partner with design and engineering teams to ensure a consistent user experience across applications.
• Establish standards for component documentation, package management, and version control.
• Support implementation of visual testing and quality assurance practices.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Work closely with development teams to guide adoption of shared frameworks and best practices.
• Create documentation, migration guides, and technical standards.
• Provide technical recommendations and contribute to architectural decision-making.
• Support ongoing modernization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

Must Have

• 5+ years of professional Angular development experience.
• Extensive experience with Angular upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
• Strong understanding of Angular architecture, reusable component development, and enterprise application design.
• Hands-on experience with Bootstrap and modern CSS frameworks.
• Experience refactoring legacy front-end applications and reducing technical debt.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience creating and maintaining shared libraries, internal frameworks, or reusable UI components.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and package management practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with design systems or enterprise component libraries.
• Exposure to Tailwind CSS.
• Experience modernizing applications that leverage third-party UI frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar deployment pipelines.
• Experience working within large enterprise environments.
• Previous experience within financial services environments.
• Exposure to authentication and identity management integrations.
