Technical Specialist, Technology Operations (Bilingual) – Montreal, On-Site
Our client, one of Canada's Big 5 banks, is looking for a bilingual Technical Specialist to join their Technology Operations team at their downtown Montreal head office. This is a 12-month contract starting November 2, 2026, with strong potential for extension and conversion to full-time.
This is a hands-on operations role supporting the systems the bank runs on. Day to day, you'll be monitoring infrastructure and applications, triaging and resolving incidents, coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors when something breaks, deploying changes to production, and supporting end users through the service desk. You'll also work with development teams to improve monitoring, logging, and alerting so problems get caught before users notice them. Over time there's room to grow into root cause analysis and process improvement work.
What you'll be doing:
- Monitoring production infrastructure, applications, and security across the environment
- Triaging incidents, restoring service, and running incident coordination against SLAs
- Deploying changes and code to production per release plans
- Handling inbound service desk requests using run books and the knowledge base
- Engaging vendors and internal teams during incidents
- Contributing to knowledge base articles and operational documentation
What we're looking for:
- 2-4 years in an IT operations, service desk, NOC, or production support environment
- Comfortable with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace or similar)
- Solid understanding of incident and change management practices
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and calm under pressure
- Fully bilingual, French and English, written and spoken
- Able to work fully on-site in downtown Montreal, 40 hours per week
- Degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field is an asset
Details:
- Location: Downtown Montreal, fully on-site, no remote option
- Contract: 12 months, extension and full-time conversion possible
- Start date: November 2, 2026
- Pay: 25/hr-35/hr (max t4 rate- 29/hr, max corp-to-corp rate 35/hr)
