Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior IT Enterprise Architect / Strategist to develop, recommend, implement, and manage Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategies and architectural deliverables. The successful candidate will provide leadership in enterprise architecture, application portfolio management, IT governance, technology strategy, and business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, recommend, implement, and manage Enterprise Architecture strategies and deliverables.
  
• Align strategic business objectives with technology investments and organizational resources.
  
• Define business capabilities, processes, and supporting technology architectures.
  
• Provide direction on operationalizing business strategy through systems, processes, and data.
  
• Identify technology risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  
• Develop IT strategies aligned with organizational vision and business goals.
  
• Streamline application portfolios to optimize performance, eliminate redundancies, and reduce costs.
  
• Lead enterprise architecture initiatives across application, technology, and AI domains.
  
• Engage stakeholders through presentations, briefing materials, and facilitated discussions.
  
• Contribute to governance, compliance, roadmapping, and enterprise planning activities.
  

Required Qualifications

Enterprise Architecture Frameworks & Tools

• Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Architecture, Application Portfolio Management, and IT Governance.
  
• Deep knowledge of multiple Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  
• Experience with structured methodologies for application design, development, and implementation.
  
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Architecture tools supporting:
  
• • Architecture Modeling and Blueprinting
    
  • Architecture Repository Management
    
  • Portfolio Management
    
  • Roadmapping and Planning
    
  • Governance and Compliance
    
  • Visualization and Reporting
    
  • Integration with enterprise processes and tools
    
• Experience using development tools, CASE tools, project management software, and business process improvement tools.
  

Application Portfolio Management

• Experience measuring business and technical value of applications and solutions.
  
• Experience conducting value analysis across applications, platforms, infrastructure, and technology investments.
  
• Experience assessing portfolio risks, technical debt, vendor viability, market trends, and resource availability.
  
• Experience with application lifecycle management and related infrastructure lifecycle dependencies.
  
• Knowledge of cloud service models and contract management practices.
  

Enterprise Architecture Domains

• Experience in Application Architecture, Technology Architecture, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  
• Experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables, models, and roadmaps.
  
• Awareness of emerging technology and digital transformation trends.
  
• Experience leading platform architecture design, documentation, and implementation for medium to large organizations.
  
• Experience with composable and modular architecture approaches and enterprise platform strategies.
  

IT Strategy & Transformation

• Strong strategic planning and business alignment capabilities.
  
• Experience operationalizing business strategies through technology enablement.
  
• Understanding of business transformation and data interdependencies.
  
• Experience developing enterprise-wide technology strategies.
  

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and meet project deadlines.
  
• Experience preparing executive presentations, briefing materials, and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
  

Must-Have Requirements

• Experience with capability-based architecture.
  
• Prior public sector or government-related experience.
  
• Knowledge and experience in Application Architecture, Technology Architecture, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  
• Ability to work onsite five (5) days per week.
