Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in Siebel CRM solutions to support the design, development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of complex enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating technical specifications into working, tested CRM applications and providing technical leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities and Skills

• Translate technical system specifications into working, tested CRM applications.
  
• Develop detailed programming specifications and write or generate code.
  
• Compile data-driven programs and conduct unit testing.
  
• Maintain applications and troubleshoot technical issues.
  
• Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the SDLC.
  
• Design, develop, implement, maintain, test, debug, and document applications.
  
• Utilize structured development methodologies for application delivery.
  
• Work with object-oriented and third-generation development tools.
  
• Apply modern application design patterns, deployment practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  
• Work with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
  
• Utilize information retrieval packages and query languages.
  
• Support communication protocols and application integrations.
  
• Participate in design walkthrough sessions with project stakeholders.
  
• Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
  
• Develop and maintain user and system documentation.
  
• Ensure compliance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards and related accessibility requirements.
  
• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain inbound and outbound RESTful APIs using Siebel Application Interface (AI) and Tomcat.
  

Software Development Experience

• Configure and develop complex Siebel Public Sector solutions.
  
• Integrate solutions using Siebel e-Services, Siebel Remote, Siebel EAI, EIM, SmartScript, Web Services, and BI Publisher.
  
• Design and implement integrations with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
  
• Develop SOAP and REST-based web services.
  
• Customize Siebel Open UI and PM/PR scripting.
  
• Develop Siebel Smart Scripts and Task-Based UI solutions.
  
• Build and maintain unit testing scripts.
  
• Configure multi-organization data structures and visibility models.
  
• Configure picklists and lists of values (LOVs) supporting multiple organizations and languages.
  
• Work within Siebel IP 20.x environments.
  

Qualifications

Software Development Experience

• 10+ years of experience solutioning and configuring complex Siebel Public Sector solutions.
  
• 10+ years of experience integrating with Single Sign-On solutions.
  
• 5+ years of experience developing SOAP web services.
  
• 5+ years of experience developing REST service integrations.
  
• 5+ years of experience customizing Siebel Open UI and PM/PR scripting.
  
• 5+ years of experience developing Siebel Smart Scripts and Task-Based UI.
  
• 4+ years of experience using JavaScript frameworks.
  
• 10+ years of experience developing unit testing scripts.
  
• 10+ years of experience designing and configuring multi-organization data structures.
  
• 10+ years of experience configuring LOVs for multilingual and multi-organization environments.
  
• 2+ years of experience with Siebel IP 20.x.
  

Technical Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Siebel Public Sector 8.x.
  
• 10+ years of experience with Siebel EAI, web services, data transformation, and integration.
  
• 10+ years of experience with Siebel data modelling and EIM.
  
• 5+ years of experience with Siebel Open UI and PM/PR scripting.
  
• 10+ years of experience with Siebel e-Services, BI Publisher, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  
• 5+ years of experience planning ETL migrations from legacy platforms to Siebel solutions using EIM and custom data loaders.
  

Installation, Design, Configuration, Integration and Troubleshooting

• 10+ years of experience installing, designing, and configuring complex Siebel Public Sector environments.
  
• 10+ years of experience troubleshooting large and complex Siebel environments with multiple integrations and SSO implementations.
  
• 10+ years of experience integrating Siebel solutions with GIS platforms, address validation services, SaaS applications, and middleware platforms.
  
• 10+ years of experience applying development best practices and standards within Siebel repositories.
  
• 6+ years of experience designing, developing, scaling, versioning, and maintaining REST APIs.
  
• 5+ years of experience with AODA, WCAG, and assistive technologies.
  
• Experience with Workspace and parallel development methodologies.
  
• Experience evaluating and documenting Siebel upgrade paths.
  

Methodologies, Documentation and Soft Skills

• Experience with Oracle development methodologies, tools, and resources.
  
• Experience documenting technical blueprints, build books, procedure manuals, and processes.
  
• Ability to research and recommend development tools and techniques.
  
• Experience documenting performance measures and environment configurations.
  
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• 10+ years of experience evaluating existing systems and recommending enhancements or replacements.

• Ability to contribute to short-term and long-term CRM service development strategies.
  
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
