Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Designer with strong expertise in Oracle financial consolidation and enterprise performance management solutions. The successful candidate will lead a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative to assess the feasibility of migrating an existing financial consolidation application from a legacy Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) platform to Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS).

The engagement includes evaluating current and future state environments, configuring application environments, building the POC, and providing insights into future migration planning, effort estimation, and costing considerations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative to assess migration feasibility from Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) to Oracle FCCS.
  
• Assess current-state and future-state architecture and application design.
  
• Configure environments and applications required for the POC initiative.
  
• Develop recommendations regarding migration approach, effort, timeline, and future implementation planning.
  
• Gather business requirements and evaluate technology solutions.
  
• Participate in solution development and provide strategic guidance on short- and long-term technology initiatives.
  
• Prepare technical specifications, installation plans, testing approaches, security considerations, and performance assessments.
  
• Evaluate system performance, capacity, and scalability requirements.
  
• Provide production support and collaborate with vendors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve application issues.
  
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  
• Support large-scale financial system migration and implementation initiatives.
  
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide recommendations for technology investments.
  
• Participate in project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder presentations.
  

General Qualifications

• Strong financial background with experience designing and migrating Oracle consolidation applications.
  
• Experience gathering business and technical requirements.
  
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and solution design.
  
• Knowledge of security, recovery procedures, testing methodologies, and integrated enterprise systems.
  
• Experience planning, implementing, migrating, and sustaining large complex system initiatives.
  
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, and enterprise software solutions.
  
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK.
  
• Demonstrated ability to conduct business analysis and cost-benefit assessments.
  
• Experience designing highly available, mission-critical applications.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
  
• Proven ability to deliver results and meet deadlines.
  

Technical Skills & Experience

Financial and Technical Solution Skills

• Oracle EPM Cloud solutions design and implementation experience.
  
• Experience with Oracle FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service) is preferred.
  
• Strong expertise with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  
• Experience supporting migration of large-scale financial applications.
  
• Knowledge of financial planning, management accounting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial reporting applications.
  
• Ability to analyze and design financial consolidation solutions.
  

Analytical Skills

• Ability to lead business requirements gathering and analysis activities.
  
• Experience conducting impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
  
• Strong expertise designing financial management, reporting, and consolidation solutions.
  
• Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  

Communication Skills

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
  
• Experience facilitating workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
  
• Ability to develop presentations and communicate findings to technical and business audiences.
  
• Strong negotiation, mediation, and consensus-building capabilities.
  

Project Management Skills

• Experience delivering projects using SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.
  
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  
• Experience working with financial operations, business management frameworks, and internal controls.
  

Work Arrangement

• Onsite position.
  
• Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks).
  
• Candidates must be available to attend onsite interviews, including assignment/presentation components.
  
• Five (5) days per week onsite.
  

Must-Have Skills

• Oracle EPM Cloud solutions design and implementation experience.
  
• Experience with Oracle FCCS.
  
• Expertise with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  
• Experience migrating large financial applications.
  
• Knowledge of financial planning, management accounting, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting applications.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Previous public-sector experience.
