Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support enterprise-level IT initiatives through comprehensive quality assurance, testing strategy development, and execution of testing activities across complex systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring software quality, compliance, performance, accessibility, and overall system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide
advice on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and required
testing resources.
- Plan
and organize testing efforts for large systems in GUI and non-GUI
environments.
- Execute
systems integration testing, specialized testing, user acceptance testing,
and stress testing activities.
- Develop
test plans, test scripts, test cases, and execute testing against various
system components.
- Collaborate
with project teams during analysis, design, development, implementation,
and ongoing system support.
- Execute
functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Validate
system behavior under various operating conditions.
- Identify,
document, and track software defects using defect management tools.
- Work
closely with developers to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues.
- Develop
and maintain automated test scripts utilizing industry-standard automation
tools.
- Integrate
automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct
performance, load, and stress testing.
- Validate
application accessibility compliance and related standards.
- Collaborate
with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to
ensure quality objectives are met.
- Participate
in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and
retrospectives.
- Maintain
comprehensive testing documentation, test coverage metrics, and quality
reports.
- Provide
input into user guides and release documentation.
- Ensure
testing activities adhere to industry standards and regulatory
requirements.
Qualifications
Core Skills and Experience
- 10+
years of experience in software testing within enterprise-level IT
environments and large-scale systems.
- Hands-on
experience with both manual and automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Deep
understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Extensive
experience with AODA testing and accessibility compliance.
- Experience
developing and maintaining testing strategies, test plans, test cases,
test scripts, and test reports.
- Experience
with automation tools such as Selenium and/or Postman.
- Experience
with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar
platforms.
- Experience
using defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar
solutions.
- Proven
expertise in end-to-end testing of complex systems covering both
functional and non-functional requirements.
- Strong
understanding of QA compliance standards and security testing best
practices.
Technical Skills
- Strong
understanding of relational databases including SQL and Oracle.
- Knowledge
of cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
- Experience
with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and GitLab.
- Familiarity
with automated testing tools and version control systems.
- Experience
writing queries for backend validation and data testing.
- Understanding
of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, and Bash.
- Experience
conducting data migration and data transformation testing.
- Experience
developing and managing test data strategies.
- Knowledge
of system integration, regression, acceptance, and performance testing
methodologies.
- Familiarity
with Selenium, Cypress, Postman, ALM, JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, Zephyr, or
comparable tools.
General Skills
- Experience
planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.
- Knowledge
of structured software development and testing methodologies.
- Experience
supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Knowledge
of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong
analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and
communication skills.
- Ability
to work effectively in team-based environments and meet deadlines.
- Experience
with quality assurance principles, practices, and structured
methodologies.
- Understanding
of accessibility standards and regulations.
- Experience
in both large and small system testing initiatives.

of at least one programming language.

with information retrieval packages.
- Knowledge
of testing methodologies in object-oriented environments.
- Understanding
of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Experience
testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.

designing and coding automated test scripts.

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid
