Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to support credit decisioning, financial spreading, and data initiatives within a lending solutions environment. The successful candidate will bridge business requirements and technical implementation, supporting configuration-driven applications, testing activities, software releases, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain business rules, calculations, financial spreading logic, and related platform components.
  
• Translate business and lending requirements into technical configurations, rule definitions, and solution specifications.
  
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to support modernization initiatives involving cloud-based data platforms and data integration capabilities.
  
• Support data quality, observability, governance, and traceability requirements where solutions interact with enterprise data assets.
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams to define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  
• Create, manage, and refine Jira stories, defects, enhancement requests, and release documentation.
  
• Coordinate and support software releases across development, testing, and production environments.
  
• Execute and support functional testing, regression testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
  
• Perform post-release validation and quality assurance activities to ensure successful implementation of changes.
  
• Investigate and resolve production issues, incidents, and defects in collaboration with technology and business teams.
  
• Develop and maintain documentation related to configurations, testing, release processes, and operational support procedures.
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to credit adjudication, financial spreading, data quality, and operational efficiency.
  

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Technical Analysis, Product Analysis, or related technology delivery roles.
  
• Experience supporting enterprise software implementations, configuration-driven applications, or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms.
  
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications, rules, configurations, and testable requirements.
  
• Experience coordinating software releases across development, testing, and production environments.
  
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, regression testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
  
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams using tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
  
• Experience supporting incident investigation, production issues, and enhancement requests.
  
• Experience working with financial systems, lending platforms, credit adjudication processes, or financial analysis solutions is considered an asset.
  
• Experience working with cloud-based data pipelines and modern data platforms is considered an asset.
  

Required Skills

Business & Financial Analysis

• Working knowledge of financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  
• Understanding of common financial and credit-risk ratios and their use in lending and adjudication processes.
  
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system functionality and business rules.
  
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  

Technical Skills

• Experience configuring business rules and application behavior through configuration-driven technologies.
  
• Ability to read, create, and maintain structured configuration files such as XML, JSON, YAML, or similar formats.
  
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including Dev, Test/UAT, and Production environments.
  
• Experience supporting application releases, release validation, and post-release verification activities.
  
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  

Quality Assurance & Delivery

• Experience creating and executing functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
  
• Experience documenting test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and release evidence.
  
• Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions through thorough testing and validation.
  

Data & Modernization (Asset)

• Understanding of modern data architecture and data integration concepts.
  
• Familiarity with AWS Glue and related cloud data technologies.
  
• Familiarity with DataHub, dbt, data observability, and data governance concepts.
  
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and modern data pipeline design.
  
• Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 concepts is considered an asset.
  

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of both official languages (English Advanced; French Intermediate) is considered an asset.
