Original job description

Symtech is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to play a key role on our recruitment team and support workforce planning across our teams. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role partners with leaders and hiring managers to turn project schedules and business needs into practical recruitment plans. As Symtech continues to grow, you’ll have opportunities to expand your experience, take on new challenges and grow your career with us.

What You’ll Do

Manage recruitment from intake and sourcing through interviews, offers and onboarding handoff.
Partner with leaders to forecast hiring needs based on project pipelines, mobilization dates and business priorities.
Build talent pipelines for specialized and hard-to-fill roles across electrical, mechanical, communications, project delivery and corporate functions.
Maintain accurate recruitment records, track results and recommend process improvements.
Coordinate candidate communication, interview scheduling, offers and pre-employment requirements to provide a timely and professional hiring experience.
Build relationships with schools, industry partners and recruitment vendors while ensuring hiring practices follow company policies and applicable requirements.
Coordinate employee training activities, including scheduling, communications, attendance tracking and follow-up.
Support onboarding, employee records, policy communications, HR reporting, employee programs and other day-to-day HR initiatives as needed.
Support recruitment outreach, employer branding, training coordination and broader HR activities as required.

What You Bring

Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; CHRP designation or progress toward it is preferred.
Five years of progressive talent acquisition, recruitment or related HR experience is preferred.
Experience recruiting in construction, trades, industrial, engineering or technical environments.
Strong direct-sourcing, interviewing, relationship-building and organizational skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities, adjust plans weekly based on business needs and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
