Our Challenge
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead AWS cloud migration initiatives from planning through successful delivery. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure migration activities align with business and technical objectives. This role requires strong stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and knowledge of cloud migration methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end AWS cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and transition.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
- Coordinate infrastructure, application, security, networking, and business teams.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies, and milestones.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and technical challenges.
- Provide regular status updates, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure migration activities follow organizational standards, security requirements, and AWS best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing technology or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience leading cloud migration projects, preferably involving AWS.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, cloud architectures, and migration approaches.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cloud Practitioner, or Project Management Professional certification.
- Experience with AWS migration tools such as AWS Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, or Database Migration Service.
- Familiarity with DevOps, infrastructure as code, cybersecurity, and cloud governance practices.
