We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join a growing heavy civil construction team in the Edmonton area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to project success through accurate estimating and competitive bid preparation.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Calculate costs for labour, equipment, materials, and subcontracted work
- Review and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to develop competitive bids
- Ensure estimates are accurate, organized, and submitted within deadlines
- Minimum 5 years of civil estimating experience; senior-level candidates preferred
- Experience with underground utilities, earthworks, and land development projects
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods and project sequencing
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management

Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs by reviewing drawings, specifications, tender documents, and supplier and subcontractor quotations. Requirements
Requires at least five years of civil estimating experience, with senior-level candidates preferred, and experience in underground utilities, earthworks, and land development. Candidates should understand civil construction methods and project sequencing, be proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Excel, and have strong drawing interpretation, organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
