Original job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Service & Operations Manager to oversee service operations, coordinate field teams, manage scheduling, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is a hands-on role connecting the office, suppliers, site workers, and customers while supporting service growth and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the service department, including small project quotations and service work.
- Meet with potential property management clients and support business development.
- Order materials and dispatch service staff to job sites.
- Act as the primary liaison between field teams and office staff.
- Ensure materials, drawings, and documentation are ready for site work.
- Coordinate material deliveries and supplier schedules.
- Participate in weekly scheduling meetings and conduct pre-site visits.
- Visit active job sites to monitor progress, quality, and timelines.
- Communicate schedules, changes, and expectations to field staff.
- Ensure timely dispatch of crews from the shop to job sites.
- Maintain Procore project updates, photos, and site documentation.
- Ensure work complies with shop drawings, architectural drawings, and specifications.
- Oversee the company safety program and promote compliance.
- Receive and coordinate supplier deliveries.
- Experience in construction, service operations, field coordination, or a related environment.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple crews, suppliers, and job sites.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working between the office and active construction sites.
- Experience with Procore is an asset.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and construction processes.
