Position Overview
Our client, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex technology and business transformation initiatives within the Supply Chain Management environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience managing enterprise-level projects involving Supply Chain Management (SCM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, including technologies such as Oracle, SAP, and IBM Maximo.
This role requires a Project Manager who is comfortable operating across business and technology teams, managing multiple stakeholders, coordinating vendors and technical resources, and driving projects from initiation and planning through implementation and operational transition.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering transformation initiatives within large, complex organizations and will understand how technology, data, processes, and people intersect within modern supply chain environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Supply Chain, ERP, AI, and digital transformation projects.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, milestones, and delivery roadmaps.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and governance structures in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
- Manage cross-functional project teams consisting of business stakeholders, IT teams, solution architects, developers, analysts, vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts.
- Coordinate initiatives involving enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and IBM Maximo.
- Support modernization and optimization of Supply Chain Management processes including procurement, sourcing, inventory, materials management, supplier management, asset management, and related workflows.
- Lead or support projects incorporating Artificial Intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, or intelligent decision-support capabilities into supply chain or enterprise business processes.
- Work with business and technical teams to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and data can improve operational efficiency, forecasting, decision-making, productivity, or cost management.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design discussions, and stakeholder workshops.
- Manage project dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish project governance and provide regular reporting on schedule, budget, scope, risks, issues, and overall project health.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level project updates, steering committee presentations, dashboards, and status reports.
- Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners, including deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and contractual commitments.
- Coordinate integration activities between ERP platforms, Supply Chain systems, enterprise applications, data platforms, and other technology environments.
- Support data migration, system integration, testing, user acceptance testing, cutover planning, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
- Partner with organizational change management, training, and business teams to support adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies.
- Ensure projects comply with organizational governance, security, architecture, risk management, and technology standards.
- Manage competing priorities and maintain alignment between business objectives, technical delivery, timelines, and project budgets.
- Drive issue resolution and remove obstacles that could impact project delivery.
- Ensure successful transition of completed solutions into operational support and business ownership.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience managing large, complex technology and business transformation projects.
- Strong Project Management experience within Supply Chain Management or enterprise operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving one or more major ERP or Enterprise Asset Management platforms such as:
- SAP
- Oracle
- IBM Maximo
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain processes such as procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory management, materials management, supplier management, logistics, purchasing, or asset management.
- Experience managing ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, transformations, or business process modernization initiatives.
- Experience working with or delivering projects involving Artificial Intelligence, automation, machine learning, predictive analytics, or intelligent workflow technologies.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams while translating technical concepts into clear business language for stakeholders and executives.
- Strong experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, dependencies, risks, and vendor relationships.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a large enterprise environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities within complex transformation programs.
- Experience working within structured project governance and enterprise delivery frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks early and drive decisions and resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working within the energy, utilities, pipeline, oil and gas, infrastructure, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Experience with enterprise Supply Chain transformation programs.
- Experience implementing or integrating AI capabilities within ERP, procurement, asset management, or Supply Chain environments.
- Familiarity with AI use cases such as predictive analytics, demand forecasting, supplier analytics, inventory optimization, procurement automation, intelligent document processing, or workflow automation.
- Experience working within hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery environments.
- Experience with organizational change management and enterprise technology adoption.
- Familiarity with data governance, system integration, APIs, reporting platforms, and enterprise architecture concepts would be considered an asset.
