JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose
The Facilities Technician I performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and related systems. This is an entry-level position that works under the guidance of more experienced technicians and supervisors, providing opportunities to develop skills in various building trades.
Shift Schedule: 07:00 a.m. - 03:30 p.m.
Pay: $19.50/hr
Responsibilities
- Maintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and trash removal.
- Perform basic repairs to building structures, such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.
- Operate and maintain basic hand and power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Respond to maintenance requests and address issues promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings.
