Systemex Automation is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and lead the successful delivery of large-scale automation and robotics projects.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all phases of the projects under your responsibility, in accordance with Systemex's project governance framework. You will act as the central point of coordination between customers and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while balancing cost, schedule, scope, quality, and customer satisfaction.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of large-scale automation and robotics projects, coordinating with engineering, production, purchasing, sales, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, and forecasts, ensuring project milestones, costs, scope, and quality objectives are achieved.
Manage project resources, including engineers and technicians through matrix management, while providing leadership, mentorship, and motivation to support project success.
Identify and resolve technical, operational, and project-related challenges by working closely with customers and internal teams, using established and innovative problem-solving approaches and comparative analyses where appropriate.
Oversee project development activities, including design, programming, specifications, assembly, commissioning, and technical documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Prepare and present project budgets, forecasts, progress reports, and other updates to management while making timely decisions to keep projects on track.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, assess customer satisfaction, participate in commissioning activities, and identify potential business opportunities with existing customers.
Ensure effective project governance and communication throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the primary point of accountability for project performance and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

8+ years of project management experience, with proven success overseeing the full project development and delivery cycle; experience with automation, robotics, engineering, or other complex technical projects is highly valued.
Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, executives, and internal stakeholders.
Fluency in French and good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills in both languages.
Dynamic, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and identify opportunities to grow business with customers; PMP certification is an asset.
Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.

Systemex Automation est à la recherche d’une personne expérimentée en gestion de projets pour se joindre au Bureau de gestion de projets (PMO) et assurer la réalisation de projets d’envergure en automatisation et en robotique.

À titre de gestionnaire de projets, la personne titulaire du poste sera responsable de planifier, organiser, diriger et contrôler toutes les phases des projets qui lui sont confiés, conformément au cadre de gouvernance des projets de Systemex. Elle agira comme principal point de coordination entre la clientèle et les équipes internes afin d’assurer une réalisation efficace des projets, tout en maintenant l’équilibre entre les coûts, les échéanciers, la portée, la qualité et la satisfaction de la clientèle.

Il s’agit d’un rôle hautement collaboratif qui requiert de solides compétences en leadership, en prise de décision, en résolution de problèmes et en communication.

Principales responsabilités

Diriger la planification et l’exécution de projets d’envergure en automatisation et en robotique, en assurant la coordination avec les équipes d’ingénierie, de production, d’approvisionnement et des ventes, ainsi qu’avec la clientèle et les autres parties prenantes.
Élaborer, mettre en œuvre et assurer le suivi des échéanciers, budgets, ressources et prévisions de projets, en veillant à l’atteinte des jalons et des objectifs liés aux coûts, à la portée et à la qualité.
Gérer les ressources affectées aux projets, notamment les équipes d’ingénierie et les équipes techniques, dans un contexte de gestion matricielle, tout en favorisant leur développement, leur mobilisation et leur réussite.
Identifier et résoudre les enjeux techniques, opérationnels et liés aux projets en collaboration étroite avec la clientèle et les équipes internes, en utilisant des approches de résolution de problèmes établies ou innovantes ainsi que des analyses comparatives, au besoin.
Superviser les activités liées au développement des projets, notamment la conception, la programmation, les spécifications, l’assemblage, la mise en service et la documentation technique, en veillant au respect des exigences du projet.
Préparer et présenter les budgets, prévisions, rapports d’avancement et autres suivis de projets à la direction, tout en prenant les décisions nécessaires pour maintenir les projets sur la bonne voie.
Développer et maintenir de solides relations avec la clientèle, évaluer sa satisfaction, participer aux activités de mise en service et identifier les possibilités de développement des affaires auprès de la clientèle existante.
Assurer une gouvernance et une communication efficaces tout au long du cycle de vie des projets et agir comme principale personne responsable du suivi de la performance des projets et de l’alignement entre les parties prenantes.

Qualifications

8 ans ou plus d’expérience en gestion de projets, avec une expérience démontrée dans la gestion de l’ensemble du cycle de développement et de réalisation de projets; une expérience en automatisation, en robotique, en ingénierie ou dans la gestion de projets techniques complexes constitue un atout important.
Solides compétences en leadership, en négociation, en résolution de problèmes, en organisation et en gestion des priorités, avec la capacité de travailler de façon autonome tout en collaborant efficacement au sein d’une équipe.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication, en présentation et en prise de parole en public, avec la capacité d’établir et de maintenir de solides relations avec la clientèle, la direction et les parties prenantes internes.
Maîtrise du français et bonne connaissance de l’anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit, avec de solides aptitudes à communiquer dans les deux langues.
Approche dynamique, entrepreneuriale et axée sur les résultats, avec la capacité de gérer plusieurs priorités et d’identifier des possibilités de développement des affaires auprès de la clientèle; certification PMP constitue un atout.
