Context

Systra Canada is looking for a V&V Lead for Transit Projects in Ontario.

Missions/Main Duties

Develop and maintain the V&V Strategy and Master V&V Plan for the SRS scope;
Define V&V methods and evidence requirements for each level of requirements;
Coordinate preparation of test procedures, inspection plans and other V&V artefacts;
Track execution of V&V activities and management of findings / defects;
Prepare V&V status reports and contribute to safety case and acceptance documentation.

Profile/Skills

University degree in Engineering;
10+ years’ experience in verification & validation, testing and commissioning or assurance for rail / transit systems;
Strong knowledge of V&V planning, test methods, evidence management and defect resolution;
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders during system testing and acceptance.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or equivalent;
Formal training in verification & validation and/or testing/commissioning (CENELEC EN 50126/8/9 or similar) considered an asset

Responsibilities

The V&V Lead will develop and maintain the V&V strategy and master plan for transit projects while coordinating test procedures and inspection plans. They are also responsible for tracking execution activities, managing defects, and preparing status reports for safety and acceptance documentation.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a university degree in Engineering and possess over 10 years of experience in verification, validation, testing, and commissioning for rail or transit systems. A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Ontario is required, and formal training in CENELEC standards is considered an asset.
