Original job description

This role is equivalent in scope to a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). You will be the scientific voice of Szio+: the person who knows the evidence behind every product, translates it for healthcare professionals, and makes sure everyone on our team speaks about it accurately.

You will also be responsible for clinical market insight, be a part of product development from a clinical perspective, and be a part of any potential clinical trials we are a part of.

Where applicable, you may be involved in meetings with specialists (urogynecologists, urologists, OB/GYNs, hematologists), primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists. You will also help shape how clinical education works at Szio+, from the resources we create to the way we engage the medical community and internal HCP sales and marketing teams

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical research and evidence

· Own the clinical evidence base for Utiva and Ferosom Forte: identify, review, and summarize published studies, guidelines, and emerging research.

· Monitor the scientific landscape in UTI, overactive bladder, menopause, vaginal health, iron deficiency anemia, and new coming areas of interest.

· Help identify evidence gaps and support future clinical studies, real-world evidence, and investigator collaborations.

· Be an intricate part of clinical trial and/or case study development to further strengthen our clinical presence.

Healthcare professional engagement

· Build and maintain credible, peer-level relationships with key opinion leaders and specialists, as well as PCPs, nurses, NPs, and pharmacists.

· Deliver clinical presentations, virtual in-services, lunch-and-learns, and webinars as required.

· Respond to clinical questions from healthcare professionals and internal members with accurate, evidence-based information.

· Gather insights from the medical community and share them with internal teams.

· Attend HCP meetings, conferences and webinars as required.

Internal education

· Develop training modules and coach the sales, marketing, and customer service teams on product science, disease states, and the clinical data.

· Serve as the go-to scientific resource for the whole company.

Content and scientific accuracy

· Support in the development and review clinical materials: product monographs, slide decks, HCP leave-behinds, FAQs, and patient education resources.

· Review marketing materials so claims are accurate, evidence-based, and consistent with regulatory requirements.

· Represent Szio+ at medical conferences and professional association events.

Program development

· Develop and maintain the processes, tools, and resource library that support clinical education.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

· A clinical background, ideally as a registered nurse (RN) or nurse practitioner (NP). Pharmacists, PAs, and other licensed clinicians are welcome to apply.

· 2+ years of clinical practice experience.

· Ability to read, critically appraise, and clearly explain clinical research. Confident presenting to team members, physicians, pharmacists and retailers, both virtually and in person.

· Travel to conferences and meeting across Canada and the USA approximate <10%.

· Access to a vehicle for local Ontario travel.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fully remote role.

NICE TO HAVE

· Experience in women’s health, urology, urogynecology, OB/GYN, or hematology.

· Prior industry experience as an MSL, clinical educator, nurse educator, or medical information specialist.

· Familiarity with natural health product or dietary supplement regulations (Health Canada NNHPD / US FDA).

· Advanced degree (MSN, PharmD, PhD, or similar).

· Startup or small-company experience and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT WE OFFER

· Fully remote work with minimal travel.

· The chance to make a direct impact at one of Canada’s fastest-growing health companies.

· Meaningful work improving women’s health and helping patients who struggle with conventional treatments.

· A small, collaborative team where your expertise directly shapes the company.
