The Director of Engineering oversees all technical teams and ensures that research prototypes become robust, scalable platforms.

Overview

The Director of Engineering oversees all technical teams and ensures that research prototypes become robust, scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering teams: Manage software and hardware engineering teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Develop engineering strategies: Design and implement scalable strategies for software development, infrastructure, and integration.
Ensure compliance: Verify that engineering projects comply with internal policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
Hire and retain talent: Lead recruitment of engineers, provide mentorship, and develop career pathways for technical staff.
Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with research scientists, product managers, and other directors to align technical efforts with organizational goals.
Update policies and processes: Continuously improve engineering processes, including code quality, security standards, and documentation practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Proven track record managing engineering teams and complex technical projects.
Expertise in software architecture, DevOps practices, and infrastructure planning.
