Original job description

Our client is shaping the future of retail technology by delivering digital solutions that help retailers improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall store performance. The company has earned recognition for its innovative approach, strong product adoption, and commitment to building a collaborative, growth minded culture. With expanding customer relationships and increasing demand across the country, the organization is entering an exciting phase of commercial acceleration. To support this momentum, they are seeking an Account Manager who will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, driving account growth, and maximizing the value of their technology solutions.

Position Overview

This opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of an established customer portfolio within a fast growing retail technology organization. The Account Manager will focus on building strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for account expansion, and ensuring customers continue to realize value from the company's solutions. Working closely with sales leadership and internal teams, this individual will play an important role in driving customer retention, increasing revenue across existing accounts, and supporting long term partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship management, consultative selling, and combining commercial growth with exceptional customer service.

Position Responsibilities

Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of retail customers, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to increase account revenue
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, business objectives, and existing technology deployments to identify opportunities for additional solutions
Drive account expansion through upselling, cross selling, and identifying opportunities across additional store locations and retail banners
Build and maintain relationships with store owners, general managers, and corporate level stakeholders across Canadian markets
Conduct regular account reviews, product demonstrations, and customer meetings to strengthen engagement and support continued product adoption
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, coordinating with internal teams to address inquiries, resolve challenges, and ensure a positive customer experience
Maintain accurate account records, customer interactions, expansion opportunities, and revenue forecasts within CRM systems
Collaborate with sales leadership on account strategies, pricing discussions, customer retention initiatives, and revenue growth objectives
Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, strengthen account relationships, and support long term customer retention

Required

Position Qualifications

Proven track record of success in account management, customer retention, revenue growth, or expanding existing customer relationships
Minimum two years of B2B account management, sales, or customer relationship experience, ideally within technology, retail solutions, hardware, equipment, POS, or related industries
Bilingual in French and English with the ability to manage and support customers across Canadian markets
Demonstrated ability to identify upselling and cross selling opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex products and communicate their value to customers
Experience managing multiple customer accounts, prioritizing competing needs, and maintaining consistent communication and follow through
Strong organizational skills with experience using CRM systems to track customer activity, account performance, and growth opportunities
Ability to work on site during initial training with hybrid flexibility afterward

Preferred

Experience supporting multi location retail customers, independent retailers, or national retail banners
Familiarity with retail technology, electronic shelf labels, point of sale systems, or other store technology solutions
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for periodic customer visits

If you are passionate about building lasting customer relationships and helping businesses maximize the value of innovative technology solutions, we encourage you to apply. A member of Talentfoot's recruitment team will be in touch should your experience align with our client's requirements.
