To support this momentum, they are seeking a Field Sales Manager to lead their sales team, strengthen commercial execution, and accelerate new business growth.

Position Overview

This opportunity offers the chance to take on a highly visible sales leadership role within a growing retail technology organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Field Sales Manager will lead a team of 3 to 5 Account Executives responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding market presence. This leader will focus on coaching, performance management, pipeline development, and building a consistent, repeatable sales process that enables the team to succeed. Working closely with senior leadership, this role offers the opportunity to develop sales talent, strengthen commercial operations, and directly influence the organization's next phase of growth.

Position Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives, establishing clear performance expectations and driving consistent achievement of individual and team sales targets
Oversee pipeline development, opportunity progression, and sales forecasting, ensuring accurate reporting and disciplined execution across the sales organization
Provide hands on coaching throughout the sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, product demonstrations, solution positioning, negotiations, and closing
Conduct regular individual coaching sessions, performance reviews, call evaluations, and deal strategy discussions to strengthen sales capabilities and accountability
Drive consistent adoption of sales methodologies, CRM best practices, and commercial processes to improve conversion rates, sales velocity, and forecast accuracy
Lead onboarding, training, and development initiatives that accelerate new hire productivity and build a team of confident, independent sales professionals
Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, store visits, and industry events to support strategic opportunities and provide practical coaching
Partner with internal Product, Operations, and technical teams to strengthen product knowledge, improve sales execution, and ensure effective customer handoffs
Translate commercial priorities into actionable territory plans, account targeting strategies, and measurable sales objectives
Collaborate with senior sales leadership to identify performance gaps, share market insights, and continuously improve sales processes and team effectiveness

Required

Position Qualifications

Demonstrated track record of success in B2B new business development, with proven experience achieving sales targets before transitioning into sales leadership
Experience directly managing and coaching a team of Account Executives or business development professionals responsible for new customer acquisition
Strong understanding of the full sales cycle, including prospecting, consultative discovery, product demonstrations, business case development, negotiation, and closing
Proven ability to improve sales performance through structured coaching, pipeline management, forecasting, and consistent accountability
Experience implementing and reinforcing sales processes, CRM standards, and performance management practices
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to evaluate sales metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement actionable improvement plans
A hands on leadership style="">Preferred:
- Experience within retail technology, SaaS, point of sale systems, payments, hardware, IoT, or related B2B technology solutions
- Experience building or refining sales processes within a growing organization
- Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies, technical product demonstrations, and ROI based selling
