This opportunity is well suited to an experienced consultant who can work independently, manage multiple projects, mentor junior team members, and provide high-level building code and life safety guidance throughout the design and construction process.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deliverables and schedules.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and consultants.
Manage multiple projects independently while maintaining high technical and client service standards.
Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
Support the continued growth of the Canadian consulting practice where appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience

Approximately 5–15 years of relevant experience in building code consulting, fire engineering, fire and life safety consulting, or a related field.
Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and/or National Building Code of Canada.
Demonstrated experience with:

Plan and drawing reviews

Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and oversee or mentor other team members.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Eligibility to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within a fire engineering, building code consulting, architectural, or multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
Experience working with municipalities, building officials, fire departments, and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
Experience on large, complex, or technically challenging developments.
Familiarity with performance-based fire engineering principles.
Professional designation or progress toward a relevant designation is considered an asset.
Previous experience mentoring junior consultants or managing project teams.

What’s Offered

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Opportunity to join a growing international consultancy.
Exposure to complex and technically challenging projects.
Leadership and management opportunities.
Strong long-term career progression.
