Original job description

Location: Vancouver, BC (with projects across the Lower Mainland, including Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, North Vancouver, and up to Whistler)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: Base salary $100,000 + OTE, plus profit sharing potential of $20,000–$50,000 annually (based on company and project performance). Competitive benefits include training, mentorship, supportive team environment, and focus on work-life balance with in-town projects. About the Opportunity

TalentSphere is partnering with a premier, growing electrical contractor known for integrity, accountability, and excellence in commercial and residential electrical services - from panel upgrades, EV charger/heat pump installations, rewiring, lighting retrofits, and energy-efficient solutions to full renovations and new construction. With Red Seal-certified teams, top certifications (A+ BBB, VRCA/BOMA membership), and a client-first approach, our client delivers defect-free work, transparent processes, and long-term relationships. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee multiple projects from planning through close-out, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while driving quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project management for diverse commercial and residential electrical projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with clients, builders, engineers, property managers, foremen, and subcontractors to align on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Develop accurate quotes and plans using digital take-offs, track progress against KPIs/milestones, manage change orders/RFIs, and control costs for profitability.
Oversee site execution, manpower deployment, troubleshooting coordination, and compliance with BC Electrical Code, WCB safety standards, and company quality protocols.
Conduct client consultations, energy efficiency assessments, and post-project reviews to ensure 100% satisfaction and warranty fulfillment.
Mentor field teams (including foremen and electricians), promote continuous improvement, and support business growth through efficient operations.
Handle documentation, reporting, insurance inspections, and close-out processes while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or similar role in electrical contracting (minimum 5+ years, with supervisory background).
Red Seal Inter-Provincial Electrician certification preferred; strong understanding of BC Electrical Code, safety regulations, and industry standards required.
Demonstrated success managing budgets, timelines, and multiple projects in commercial/residential settings (e.g., renovations, new builds, service upgrades, EV/renewable installs).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills for client interactions and team coordination.
Valid BC driver's license and reliable vehicle for site visits.
Proficiency with project management tools, digital quoting software, and MS Office/estimating programs.
Alignment with values of integrity, accountability, excellence, and client-focused service.

Preferred

Experience with energy-efficient technologies, sustainable solutions, and high-profile projects.
Track record of driving profitability and team development in a growing contractor environment.

If you're a results-oriented leader passionate about delivering high-quality electrical projects with a trusted team, apply confidentially via TalentSphere.ca or contact our Vancouver team at 778-807-9777 Ext 734. No candidate fees - let's discuss your next career move!
