Architecture & Design Firm
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Creative Thinking. Fresh Ideas. Help Shape What's Next.
About The Firm
Our client is a well-established and respected architecture and design firm with a diverse portfolio of projects across Western Canada.
With a strong reputation for thoughtful, sustainable design and a collaborative approach to project delivery, the firm has built lasting relationships across the development and construction industries.
Their work spans a variety of sectors, including multifamily residential, affordable housing, seniors care, commercial developments, tenant improvements, childcare facilities and interior design, with additional expertise in landscape design services.
The culture is supportive, social and team-oriented, with a genuine appreciation for creativity, fresh ideas and people who take pride in their work.
As the firm continues to evolve and explore opportunities across new markets and sectors, they are looking for a creative, motivated and business-minded Marketing Specialist to join their Abbotsford team.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional who enjoys variety, has a creative eye and wants to play a meaningful role in helping an established architecture firm strengthen its market presence and generate new business opportunities.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Marketing Director and business development team, you'll help drive the firm's marketing initiatives, increase brand awareness and identify opportunities to connect with prospective clients.
This is a hands-on, creative marketing role with a strong focus on digital marketing, social media, website content, brand development and lead generation.
You'll be involved in developing engaging content, showcasing the firm's projects and expertise, supporting targeted marketing campaigns and helping identify new opportunities across the architecture, development and construction industries.
Beyond traditional marketing activities, you'll also have the opportunity to attend industry events, support relationship-building initiatives and contribute ideas that help the firm expand its reach into new markets and sectors.
The ideal person is creative, confident and proactive, with a solid understanding of the architecture, real estate development or broader AEC industry. Someone who enjoys thinking outside the box, takes initiative and brings fresh ideas while appreciating the value of collaboration and learning from an experienced leadership team.
With a supportive team, an established reputation and plenty of room for professional growth, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.
The Role
- Develop and implement creative marketing initiatives that strengthen the firm's brand awareness, visibility and market presence.
- Manage and create engaging content for the firm's social media platforms, website and digital marketing channels.
- Support lead generation initiatives by researching prospective clients, identifying market opportunities and helping develop strategies to attract new business.
- Work closely with senior leadership and the business development team to support marketing strategies across existing and emerging sectors.
- Develop compelling written and visual content that showcases the firm's projects, people, expertise and accomplishments.
- Create polished marketing collateral, brochures, presentations, graphics and promotional materials.
- Support the planning and execution of targeted marketing campaigns, including digital outreach and industry-specific initiatives.
- Research industry trends, development activity, prospective clients and emerging markets to identify new business opportunities.
- Coordinate and participate in industry events, networking opportunities, conferences and other business development activities.
- Maintain and update project photography, marketing resources, digital assets and promotional materials.
- Help ensure consistent branding, messaging and visual identity across all marketing platforms.
- Monitor marketing performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, reach and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather project information, develop engaging content and support broader marketing objectives.
- Bring fresh ideas, creativity and a proactive approach to improving the firm's marketing strategies and processes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing or a related role.
- Experience within architecture, engineering, construction, real estate development or a related industry is strongly preferred.
- A solid understanding of the architecture, development and construction industries, including how firms position themselves and attract new clients.
- Demonstrated experience managing social media, website content and digital marketing initiatives.
- Experience supporting lead generation, business development or client acquisition strategies.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, along with Canva and other creative marketing tools.
- A strong eye for graphic design, typography, layout and visual storytelling.
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for different audiences.
- Experience developing marketing campaigns, presentations, promotional materials and digital content.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable balancing multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Creative, proactive and resourceful, with the confidence to bring new ideas forward and take ownership of initiatives.
- A positive, approachable and collaborative personality, with a willingness to learn, take direction and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Comfortable attending industry events, networking and interacting with clients and industry professionals.
- Someone who is ambitious and eager to grow professionally while remaining hands-on and engaged in day-to-day marketing activities.
- Examples of previous marketing campaigns, digital content, graphic design or other creative work would be welcomed.
- Competitive compensation depending on experience.
- Bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
- A collaborative, primarily office-based working environment in Abbotsford, with flexibility to work remotely one day per week.
- Flexible working hours and a strong commitment to work-life balance.
- A well-established and respected firm with a strong industry reputation.
- The opportunity to work closely with experienced marketing and business development leadership.
- A social, supportive and genuinely collaborative workplace.
- Exposure to interesting architectural and development projects across multiple sectors.
- The opportunity to contribute to marketing strategy, brand development and new business growth.
- Plenty of room for professional development and long-term career progression.
- A chance to bring fresh ideas to a growing team and have a real impact on the firm's future direction.
If you're a creative marketing professional who loves developing engaging content, identifying new opportunities and finding innovative ways to connect businesses with their audiences, this could be a fantastic next step in your career.
