Working across project management, field operations, safety, finance, and organizational leadership, the successful candidate will ensure projects are properly staffed, effectively managed, and delivered in accordance with financial, scheduling, quality, and safety expectations.

The Opportunity

The Regional Construction Manager will provide oversight from the transition out of preconstruction through project completion and closeout. This individual will support project teams, monitor portfolio performance, strengthen operating practices, and help remove obstacles that could affect successful delivery.

The position is well suited to a collaborative construction leader who understands both the technical and commercial sides of the business and can bring consistency, accountability, and sound decision-making to a growing project portfolio.

  • Provide direction and oversight across a portfolio of active construction projects.
  • Translate broader business objectives into practical operating priorities for project teams.
  • Establish consistent project-delivery practices that improve efficiency, accountability, and profitability.
  • Monitor operational results and identify areas requiring intervention, additional support, or escalation.
  • Encourage a culture centred on continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.

Project Performance

  • Evaluate project performance against schedule, budget, safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead regular project reviews focused on forecasting, cost performance, productivity, risk, and overall project health.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve challenges and maintain delivery commitments.
  • Ensure reporting, forecasting, cost information, and project documentation remain timely and accurate.
  • Identify emerging risks and support the implementation of appropriate corrective measures.

Financial Management

  • Review project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, cost reports, and profitability.
  • Support project teams in maintaining effective cost controls and reliable financial projections.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs, improve productivity, and strengthen operating margins.
  • Provide senior leadership with clear visibility into portfolio performance and areas of concern.

People and Resource Planning

  • Coordinate staffing, equipment, subcontractor, and resource requirements across multiple projects.
  • Ensure project teams have the experience and support required to execute successfully.
  • Participate in workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Coach and mentor construction leaders while helping strengthen leadership capability throughout the organization.
  • Balance competing project priorities and allocate resources according to operational needs.

Safety and Quality

  • Champion a proactive health and safety culture across all projects.
  • Ensure operations comply with company standards, applicable legislation, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reinforce quality-control processes that support consistent and successful project outcomes.
  • Work with project leaders to address safety, quality, or compliance concerns promptly and effectively.

Industry and Client Relationships

  • Develop productive working relationships with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry partners.
  • Support client satisfaction and repeat business through strong execution, communication, and relationship management.
  • Represent the organization professionally throughout the construction process.

Regional Construction Manager Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 10 years of progressive construction management experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and practical experience.
